I agree with that. I think this addition is rather unecessary, sure battles will be tougher but it's not making anything more fun. Soon we'll have 6 on 6 battles or something...there really is no point in this.

Triple Battles. Wait that means we can have Plusle, Minun and Giaru on the field at once, their abilties might be not useful.

Well animé will get more awesome contests at least :/.

The will probably reveal some three on three battles specific Pokémon and moves like they did to Double Battles(eg. Plusle and Minun, Helping Hand...)

I don't think I'm gonna like triple battles because its gonna suck and be hard and what not.

Double battles were cool. Triple battles is stretching it.

3-way battles are still a possibility. After all, you can do a 4-way battles (using partners and 3 Pokemon). I'm willing to bet it's a feature that ties in to the multiplayer.

Hooray. You're so innovative Nintendo. And those Pokemon: I've always wanted a pokemon who looks like an Egyptian coffin. It's not like I wanted animate objects.

I just hope that if they make another console game like Colosseum/DX, that all the battles aren't triple.

I believe this is downright terrible, we already have enough battle mechanics. Good battle mechanics. Although 3v3 sounds interesting is some way... I feel really insecure about this!

I'm having the same reaction as I did when Double Battles were first introduced: pure awesomeness. I actually can't wait to try it out... that'd be one heck of a challenge if they went in that direction with battling the Gyms and E4. I really liked Double Battles in Colosseum and XD, so I'm wondering if they'll throw in Triple Battles in the next Wii game too.

I quite enjoy the idea of triple battles. Have any of you ever played a Shin Megami Tensei game? I'm guessing it's something like that, and it's really not that bad. It makes the game more challenging, which I'm all for.

Of course, I'd much prefer a 3-trainer free for all and for 'Shooter' to mean 'pop a cap in that loser's ass' but 3v3 is cool too. I'm not going to dis it without knowing exactly how it works.

If it was 3v3 as in 3 trainers, I'd like it. But 3 Pokémon at once? A bit overkill.

Saying that, I wouldn't mind if VGC 2011 battles were something like: All battles fought will be Triple Battles and each player uses 3 Pokémon each. Then, the Top 16 battles become 6 on 6.

I think it's a little ridiculous. it makes the screen look really hectic and it would just weaken your moves further. It is kind of interesting, but I do not really like it and it's unnecessary.
