This is a pic of tropius and several other pokemon, I tried to shade but I just don't know how....

Funny picture. Makes me linger for some tropical place.

For shading, I thought PSP has a special tool for it, but I'm not used to the program at all. I use to do handshading myself, while zooming in to the picture and adding darker or lighter spots. Look where the light comes from and make places covered in the light lighter (by adding more white or choosing a darker version of the color) while places with less light more darker (by adding black or choosing a darker version of the color) And while you're using the zoom utility, color the white spots you're having now as well. It should look better.

Did you scan the picture in or draw in on the computer?

I drew it on the comp, I drew a tropius and a flygon battling on folder paper and I tried shading, I think it looks pretty good.
