@Midorikawa;

It was a normal day in Goldenrod City Johto as the day began, people were already going out to work and the city was bustling with life as Pokemon began to wander around the street. This was daily life in a city as big as this one, hidden amongst the buildings and regarded as one of the most advanced cities in the world.

At the entrance of Goldenrod stood a young man, a smirk crossing his face as he looked on at the city. He had long brown colored hair that went down to his neck, though the front had been combed in a spiky fashion. He had crystaline blue eyes that shone with playfulness and a bit of confidence in it.

The teen was wearing a black jacket with red lines going down from the shoulders and all way down the sleeves. He was wearing similarly designed pants along with a white colored t-shirt. "So this is Goldenrod, the city where I'll obtain my third badge," the teen known as Gale smiled as he slowly walked into the city. "This is actually one I've really wanted to check out."

A girl with long white hair that reached her waist smiled at the site beholding her violet eyes. She was currently walking around Goldenrod City, excited for her first contest in the Johto region, as well as nervous. For clothing she wore a jacket with chef style buttons, the body was green in color with the sleeves yellow while it had a white hood as well. She wore black jean shorts and black sneakers as well. On her left wrist was a pink Xtransceiver, and hanging around her neck was a golden locket shaped like the legendary pokemon, Reshiram.

"Emerald why don't you enjoy this with me," she said to what seemed like thin air, however her gaze was directed towards her back where she wore a black backpack. A green head popped out from behind her hair, its eyes brown in color, two yellow things sticking up like a collar, revealing the pokemon as a snivy. Emerald grunted before doing what his partner asked and enjoying the sites around.

As she walked around she wasn't paying full attention to where she was going. A man on a bike flew by almost hitting her. She moved out of the way just in time only to trip and end up falling into a trash can, her legs and upper body being unstuck, however the rest was stuck uncomfortably. Emerald had fallen from her soldier and rolled onto the floor, much to his dismay. "Just brilliant," she sighed to herself as she started to attempt to get out of the can.

Gale walked through the city, gazing at all the buildings and people that he was seeing. He had come from far away in the Sevvi Islands, and after so long he was finally able to visit such a large city by himself. "The city really is an interesting place huh Skye?" Gale pointed out as he looked at the Swablu that was now flying above his head.

"Blue,' Skye nodded its head in agreement before gently lowering itself onto its trainer's head. That's when Gale noticed a girl that was trying to fight her way out of a trash can, though he couldn't help but chuckle a bit as he saw this. "Let me help you out,' he said as he walked towards Junine so as to look at her situation. "Though...just how did you end up like this?"

'Brilliant' Junine thought to herself as she looked up to see a boy looking at her. She felt the heat of embrassment rise to her cheeks, and felt it redden more as she thought how obvious blushing always was on her deathly pale skin. "Thank you," she told as she accepted his help. Once up and out from the can she dusted herself off before removing her bag. Kneeling down she started to dig through it and answer his second question. "Some idiot on a bike nearly hit me. When I moved out of the way I tripped on the can." She smiled contently as she pulled out a Pokemon egg, which after examination was fine.

Standing up she turned at the sound of a growl to see her snivy on all fours. "Oh stop being jealous you. I knew you were fine. The egg unlike you is fragile," this just incited another growl before he leapt into her hair, hiding behind it. "Um sorry about that, and I'm thank you again..." She started, realizing she didn't know his name. "I'm Junine and the snivy was my partner Emerald.

"I'm Gale and this is my buddy Skye," Gale smiled before pointing towards the Swablu. He looked over and smiled at Junine before kneeling in front of the egg so as to pet it. He began to slowly put his forehead to the egg for a moment, almost as if he was feeling the Pokemon inside. "It's a bit scared after what happened it seems, but it's calmed down, it's pretty close to hatching too," he stated with a smirk. "It's nice to meet you Junine you seem like a very interesting person." he beamed.

"I'm interesting? You should be saying that about yourself. It's not everyday you meet someone who can understand pokemon you know, especially eggs," she said. "However it's nice to meet you too, Gale, and of course Skye," she smiled at the two. "So what bring you to Goldenrod? Swablu aren't native here so unless Skye was a gift, I doubt you're from here," she asked in an attempt to start conversation.

"Actually I'm not," Gale laughed while scratching his cheek in nervousness. "I'm actually from the Sevvi Islands, Four Island to be specific," he pointed out while nodding his head proudly. "That's also how I learned the egg tree, and how I got Skye too, you learn a lot when working at one of the most famous daycares," he said as he petted Skye after it landed on his shoulder. "You have a Snivy yourself though now that I look at it better," Gale said as he looked down at Emerald.

"I'm from Unova. I came here to participate in contests. And sorry about Emerald, he doesn't like others very much." She turned her sight towards her shoulder where sh noticed that her partner had been peeking out. As soon as Gale paid attention to him however he went back to hiding in Junine's hair. "You never answered my question. Why come to Goldenrod?" She tilted her head slightly to the side as she asked him.

"Oh that," Gale stated as he looked at Junine for a second, almost as if he was thinking about her question. "Well I'm in Johto on a journey of sorts," he nodded his head while scratching the back of his head. "I came to Johto about a month ago and have been traveling, I'm supposed to meet with someone in Eructeak so I've been traveling around Johto and you know training and such." he explained.

"I see. Its good that you know someone else in the region. I should probably let you get on your way then. Wouldn't want to miss that friend and I have to register for the contest here." Junine started to walk away before stopping and turning towards Gale again. "If you don't leave before the contest then feel free to come by and watch."

"Actually I've never been to a contest before," Gale pointed out, his face looking curious as he turned to look at Junine. He smiled before he began walking towards her and grinned at her. "I would love to go watch!" he exclaimed cheerfully, having grown in the Sevvi Islands he had only seen battles and contests on TV and he wasn't going to miss the chance of seeing one live.

"Well its in a few days at the contest hall which is where I'm headed to register. If you don't know where it is you can walk with me to see," she told him. It was nice to meet and talk to someone since she arrived in Johto. She had originally arrived in Olivine City by ship and from there she started towards Goldenrod City for her first contest. Along the way she managed to catch a pokemon as well as obtain her egg. During all that though she hadn't met anyone to talk to at all due to people being non friendly, or being battle freaks.

"That sounds like fun actually," Gale smiled. He was glad to be able to hang out with somewhat for once, ever since he had arrived in Johto he had been traveling by himself and hadn't gotten a chance to many people, partly because he didn't know how to approach them. "Are you from a city like this one by the way?" he asked Junine as he walked with her. "My island's small so places like this are really amazing, plus Goldenrod is a place I've always wanted to go to if I'm honest," he nodded his head as he pocketed his hands.

"Not like this at all. My home city how a more natural feel and is much smaller. Its called Striaton City. On the outskirts we have these amazing gardens and also this abandoned lab ruins where you can find pokemon. Honestly though I like small towns best. They tend to have more nature which is wonderful," Junine smiled brightly, her steps becoming lighter, almost to the point of skipping.

"Oh isn't there this awesome gym restaurant in Striaton too!" Gale exclaimed in surprise at hearing where Junine had come from. "That's one of the places me and my cousins want to visit the most, I hear the food is great," he nodded his head while smirking. That's when he felt his stomach growling, causing him to look down at the floor in embarassment. "Talking about food got me hungry."

"The restaurant has the best food. Actually the family there are friends of mine. I grew up learning how to cook from them," she said proudly. "Looks like you need some food though," Junine laughed as the contest hall came in sight. "Registering should take me a minute and then why don't we get something to eat."

As Junine had said it took only a minute to register for the contest. Afterwards as luck would have it, there was a restaurant right by the hall that they went to. "Perfect right?" she asked though it sounded more like a statement.

"Thank you," Junine nodded as she entered. A waitress greeted them and lead to a table for two, leaving them with menus to order from. "The contest is in three days to be exact on time. It starts at nine in the morning." Junine looked at the menu, reading to decide what she wanted to eat from the choices. After a moment she decided and looked towards Gale to see if he was ready.

"All right I think I'll have some steak, I haven't eaten steak since I started traveling," Gale pointed out before closing the menu that they had been given. He looked at Junine for a moment, almost as if he was scanning her before asking. "Your hair's white." only for him to look back and frown shyly once he thought about the question he had asked.

"I'm just going to have some shrimp scampi," she stated as the waitress came over and took their orders. "I'm albino. It's lack of melanin in the body so pale skin, white hair, even my eyes don't have color. The purple comes from my retinal blood vessels in my eyes," she blushed as she realized what she had said. "Sorry, that was probably bad conversation for a meal. I doubt you wanted to hear that kind of thing." Junine cast her gaze downward feeling awkward about her rambling.
