Trying to evolve Eevee into Umbreon on SS

Hi guys!

I'm trying to evolve my Eevee into an Umbreon. Its very happy and close to evolution but I was wondering, can I still raise its happiness in the day and as long as he tries to evolve at night, I'll still be able to get my Umbreon, or does ALL happiness have to be raised at night? Thanks!

Happiness can be raised whenever (otherwise how would you get Daisy Oak's massages?), only the level up has to happen at night.

Also, there's a number of simple question threads for this sort of thing. If you stick to using those, you're less likely to get people writing at you in large letters and harsh tones.
