Notable changes:

  • On October 10th, CN will air the last episode of Pokémon Advanced Battle ("Pasta La Vista"). The next day, they'll go back and start the Advanced Battle season over with "Clamperl of Wisdom"
  • On October 13th, Cartoon Network will re-air "Destiny Deoxys"
  • Starting October 14th, Cartoon Network will only air one new episode a week. A rerun of the previous week's episode will air at 9:00am, and the new episode will air at 9:30am.
  • Pokémon Chronicles will not air on October 14th because Cartoon Network will be airing Princess Mononoke instead.
  • The final episode of Pokémon Chronicles is mysteriously missing from CN's schedule.
  • Pokémon Battle Frontier joins the Toonami line-up starting November 4th. New episodes will still premier on Saturday morning.
 
I knew they would re-air advance battle ^^ and I was right, there going back to showing one new episode in 2 weeks, (my guess). Thanks for the schedule updates Dogasu! And CN is airing "Destiny Deoyxis"? That's not a very halloween centric film O.O. Who else thought Battle Fronier would be on Toonami eventually? Yup, it was just a matter of time, now watch as ratings continue to grow ^^

Maybe they're saving it for Christmas, where they'll say it's a brand-new Pokemon holiday special. It would make sense, as it's not terribly far off in the future.
 
But, wait, didn't the "next week" commercial show both From Cradle to Save and Time-Warp Heals all Wounds? o_O
 
It sure did Lil Brother, most likly another mistake by Toon Zone, or a last minute switch by CN. Its confusing, I just wish CN would make up their minds.

I wish Cartoon Network would stop changing the schedule every five minutes. It really makes it hard to keep this thread up-to-date...

I also wish CN would stop airing two new episodes each week. They'll run out of new episodes by February at this rate.

We're already up to February as the Japanese episodes went!

There's going to be a gap of no new episodes. There has to be. My prediction is that it come around the Battle Tower and the new episodes won't restart until a few months into 2007.
 
And maybe not. Maybe they fastened BF to premier DP Anime in the same time DP games will released (considering DP games will released in spring).
 
The problem with that is that there are only five D/P episodes in season nine. A large gap before next September is not what PUSA wants with the big games coming out.
 
Hmm......

Maybe they want to hurry up and dub all the season 9 epsiodes, because:


1. They want to start airing the D/P season when the games come out in the U.S. (like what peno said)

2. They aren't sure what they're gonna do about season 10 (D/P), in terms of the VAs and everything? O.O

Not really. Why do they have to be a year later than Japan? Dubbing doesn't take so long, if they were about 3-4 months after Japan, that would be OK. I see no problem here.


BTW, AFAIR the title was "So Near, Yet So Farfetch'd"

Pokémon fans are already spoiled rotten. There's no reason for PUSA to rush the dub so that the wait between the Japanese premiere date and the American premiere date is that much shorter.

The DP theory is quite possible, first 5 episodes being part of season 9 could be just like bigger "sneak peek" event, then... new specials? ;-) or rather old reruns.
 
Kids WB showed the first two AG episodes when the games came out. I don't see why CN can't show the first three D/P episodes without it being in order like they're doing with the Deoxys special.
