In answer to user's requests, we've made the user of tweetboard, our twitter sidebar, optional.

To shut it down, you should:

1. Click on "Forum Actions" in the bar at the top of the forums, then click on "General Settings".

2. Go to the very bottom of that page, you will find the "Enable tweetboard" option. Set it to no.

3. Save.

This should disable the tweetboard.

Mind you, it wasn't exactly straightforward :D

Also, I think I figured out how to set it to be on by default, just about to test it out.
E: Yeah, it's now visible by default, just like the setting suggests when you initially go to that setting page. And it's toggleable. :)

Thanks, that thing was so annoying. I use Twitter for Twitter.

Thank you kindly, Figment. That damn thing is useless to me, & it sticks out like a friggin' sore thumb.

He was only the informing person :p

As for Tweetboard disappearing on those who set it on (I'm currently not seeing it either), I'm not sure what is the cause to that but the script most certainly is still there. Might be a problem at Tweetboard's end; we'll see if the problem persists.

E: I cannot currently connect to tweetboard.com, so this definitely is their problem. Not just me either: http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/tweetboard.com
