I've seen this mentioned in Visitor Messages and gotten VM's from twins, and I was wondering, just how many people here at Bulbagarden are "blessed" with a twin? Do you get along with them, do you wish they weren't a twin? Do people mix you up? CAN YOU READ EACH OTHER'S MINDS!?!?!

I'm a boy twin with a twin sister. We get along sort of, but we do fight a lot. Though I often say it, I don't think I'd want her any younger or older, but it might be easier if she was a guy. We have the same eyes, nose and apparently we look pretty similar.

So, how many more twins are there?

(Sorry if this should be somewhere else)

this is the right board for threads like this. I'm no twin, but I know one. They don't look like each other, so you can easily tell which one is which.

I was friends with twins back when I was in 2nd grade, the only way I could tell them apart is their eye color and hair style lol

*resists urge to make twincest comment* I watch a lot of harem anime, and most of the time there are twins. Although I seriously doubt twins in real life are like that.

Oooii! Fraternal twin Hallowheart here =3! We get a long so depending on the situation, she's really mean when she's around her friends or our parents (I think it's a control thing, though I'm the older twin) but when it's just us two she tends to be nice.

Yeah, sometimes I don't want to be a twin- people always compare us because we don't look like we're even related! She can do this, why can't you do that?? Blegh- I'm myself, not her.

Hm- no, but when either of us is in pain it's like the other half gets all the emotion of that pain... so if she's hurt, I'll cry or be mad, and if I'm hurt she gets mad or cries.

My step-sister has twin-daughters (Step-nieces?) They were born on my birthday even:B

I'M NOT A TWIIIIN

my younger sister is roughly 3 years and 10 months younger than me. the closest i have to being related to twins are my older half-siblings, who were born within a year of each other. they're pretty much polar opposites - my half-sister is goth, my half-brother is a prep - but they get along well.

I'm not a twin!
But I have adorable little twin cousins who are about 3 that are fraternal twins. Layne and Isabella. Complete opposite looks and personalities.

I have no twin siblings, but I am a clone of the original Chaos Chikorita.

He no longer exists, though...he got in my way.

Wow Pensk, you really made the thread!

Yay twinsies ^^ Weird interest of mine. But no twin for me. I dont think I'd want one though, since I wouldnt want people thinking I was someone else (epecially if she was a bad kid, I'd have a horrible reputation!)

Ha ha, Len, I know. Too much Ouran led me to twincest XD Thats not the reason I like twins though, dont worry!

I'm not a twin, but my youngest brother and sister are. They're fraternal and are 6 right now. ^^ The only thing they share in common is red hair. D=

Wow.That's quite strange.I have adorable little twin cousins that are 3 and fraternal and complete opposite looks and personalities.Except mine are called Emma and Thomas.

If you look like your sister, wouldn't that mean you look like a female? Or does she look male? I'm confused.

Anyway, I don't have a twin. I think it would be pretty awesome though.

What is with wanting a twin D=? Really, not that great. I think the thing I remember most about my childhood as a twin... is that every single article of clothing and toy I got, was the same as what she got. The only difference- mine was blue and hers was pink!

I don't have a twin, but there are two sets of twins on my mother's side of the family.

Opposite gender twins can never be identical twins.

But they could, in super-dy rare cases, be half-identical twins. I dont really know the science of it, but basicaly its boy/girl twins that look very similar. Super rare, but a lot of anime's dont seem to think so D:

This is probably the most disgusting form of incest, or any sex for that matter. ):

Identical means the same DNA. It is difficult to prove how similar fraternal twins are in DNA. When I was growing up, I was one of five sets of twins in school, so I didn't feel very uncommon, but I was only one of two identical sets. What's weird is I actually have identical twin step brothers as well, the same age my brother and I.

Most people I've met with my brother have said they wish they had a twin. When I was really young, we were best friends. We had the same interests, and we hung out with the same people. Eventually, twins try to define themselves; they are not an extension of their sibling. They are their own person. Through most of puberty, twins become somewhat disjointed.

It was nice that after high school, my brother and I became closer. We spent a lot more time with each other, and it was great to finally be close to him again. I guess he didn't value it as much as I did though.

Also, having twins is genetic. I'm one of three sets on my father's side, but he has 8 brothers and four sisters, and I have roughly 33 cousins, so it doesn't seem that impressive that 10% of us are twins. And I'm pretty sure we're all identical.

Yes, and? I didn't say that they were.
I was referring to the first post in this thread where he mentioned that he looked similar to his twin sister.
