I have no idea if I'm writing this in a right thread ― if not, I apologise and please feel free to move this thread around.

The thing is, people make mistakes. And by people I mean Pokémon fans, and by mistakes I mean one specific, incredibly annoying mistake:

QUADRUPLE DAMAGE IS NOT QUADRUPLE WEAKNESS!

Why does everybody use the latter? The most prominent Pokésites all have this wrong, Smogon, Serebii, Marriland and more… Even Bulbagarden isn't free from this curse! The fans start using this phrase without thinking because of that.

Butterfree is weak to Rock, but it's not a quadruple weakness, it's a double weakness! Bug type Pokémon has…? A weakness to Rock. Flying type Pokémon has…? A weakness to Rock. Put those TWO weaknesses together… Quadruple. Seriously?!

Nobody makes a mistake the other way around, nobody says Ferrothorn has a "quadruple resistance" to Grass.

Quadruple weakness would mean a Pokémon has four types and they're all weak to the attack. That's impossible even with the Forest's Curse and Trick-or-Treat shenanigans.

But why am I whining about it here? Mostly because I've noticed this mistake on two of the Bulbapedia pages, which I believe need to be fixed. They are:

Scraggy, Scrafty, and Pangoro are immune to Psychic due to their Dark typing, but with the disadvantage of having a quadruple weakness to Fairy-type moves.
~Fighting (type)

Magcargo would suffer the least damage from Camerupt's Fire attacks, due to its Rock and Fire-types, but also has a quadruple weakness against Camerupt's Ground attacks.
~AG046

However, the page for the Bug type has it right:

The Bug/Steel Pokémon prove particularly effective as they only have one weakness (although it's a double weakness) and eight resistances
~Bug (type)

So it's also a matter of consistency.

I know it seems like not a big deal… But the fact everybody and their starter make a mistake doesn't make it any less of a mistake.
