It was a calm, warm spring morning, and Elizabeth was sleeping peacefully in her bed. A figure walked into her room and stood over her.

"ELIZABETH! WAKE UP!" The voice screamed. Elizabeth screamed and basically jumped out of bed. She pushed her blonde strands of hair out of her pale face. Her blue eyes looked at the figure.

"Dammit, Bianca! Why do you have to do that?!" Elizabeth growled at the other girl, Bianca. Bianca laughed nervously and helped Elizabeth up out of the floor.

"Don't you know what today is?" Bianca said happily, "We get our Pokémon today! Aren't you excited?!"

Elizabeth realized that Bianca was right, and she hurried to her closet to find something to wear. She then proceeded to quickly change out of her purple pajamas, and into her attire: Dark brown shorts that go a few inches above the knee, a white t-shirt with a Palm tree logo. She put her socks and tennis shoes on as well.

"I completely forgot! Crap! We need to hurry!" Elizabeth hurried. Part of her wanted to get away from Bianca and recieve her Pokémon, another part of her wanted to see Cheren, the guy she's had a crush on for two years. Bianca laughed and followed Elizabeth. When they made it downstairs, Elizabeth's mom stopped them.

"Professor Juniper called, she's gonna run a few errands but she'll be back shortly," Her mother spoke, "She said to go fetch Cheren and Jimmy and bring them back here." Elizabeth resembled her mother greatly, but her Mother has brown hair with a few gray strands, due to age. Her blue eyes don't seem as full of life as Elizabeth's do.

"Okay, mother," Elizabeth replied then frowned, "Dad would've enjoyed seeing this...."

"Yes, child, he would," Her mother spoke, a few tears falling from her face. Elizabeth smiled with sympathy then turned to Bianca with her usual happy look on her face.

"Shall we get Cheren and Jimmy?" She spoke sweetly. Bianca nodded and led Elizabeth out the door.

Jimmy was snoring loudly and was still completely asleep when Cheren came to the foot of the tree and yelled for him to wake up. Jimmy opened his eyes and realized that he was hanging upside-down from a tree limb. He sputtered and fell to the ground.

"Ugh... Dude, why'd you do that?" he groaned.

Cheren just "hmph'd" and walked off.

Jimmy then remembered what today was and followed him with his signature black hoodie and long blonde hair.

Outside, Bianca and Elizabeth were heading towards Cheren's house. A cool breeze enveloped Elizabeth as she smelled the aromas of the flowers around her.

"I hope he's home," Elizabeth asked nervously as a slight blush appeared on her face.

"I'm sure he will! Don't worry!" Bianca spoke with happiness. She knocked on Cheren's door, when his mother opened up.

"Is Cheren there?" Elizabeth asked politely. His mother shook her head and explained that he walked over to Jimmy's house. The two girls thanked Cheren's mother, and headed towards Jimmy's house.

Before long, Jimmy and Cheren met up with the two by the house, skidding to a halt at the sight of their other friends.

"'Sup, you two?" Jimmy asked nonchalantly while yawning.

Cheren looked around blankly.

"Hi, Jimmy!" Bianca cheered happily, "Hi, Cheren!"

"Hello, Jimmy....um...hello, Cheren," Elizabeth speaks as she looks down at her feet and blushes.

"I'm glad we found you two! Professor Juniper said to find you guys and bring you back to Elizabeth's house. I don't know why though!"

Jimmy nodded. "Alrighty, let's go then," he yawned again before walking ahead.

Cheren chuckled and walked after Jimmy.

"What's so funny, Cheren?" Bianca asked as she was leading the way towards Elizabeth's house. Elizabeth did her best to avoid eye contact with Cheren, so she kept on directing her attention towards her house. Once they got there, Elizabeth opened the door back up, and looked at her mother. Her mother was cleaning the kitchen.

"We're here, mom. Has Professor Juniper called yet?" Elizabeth asked.

"Oh, yes, she has dropped the Pokémon off, and they're up in your room," Her mother spoke, "They're quite cute! I envy you kids sometimes." she chuckled and went back to cleaning the kitchen.

Cheren hadn't even heard Bianca. He was too dead-center focussed on getting his pokemon. Jimmy was quite the same. He nodded upstairs.

"We should go check it out," he said with Cheren agreeing.

"Yes. Yes we should," he stated.

"Okay, thanks, mom," Elizabeth thanked her as she lead Bianca, Jimmy, and Cheren upstairs to her room. Her room had pale pink walls. There was a window that faced her bed. She had a small closet, which had her stuff neatly organized. Her carpet was a green color, similar to moss. Her bed had clean, white linen sheets, and two pillows. Sitting on her bed was a big, blue box. There was a letter attached to it.

"Oh, there's a letter! Read it! Read it!~" Bianca cheered happily. Elizabeth sighed and opened the letter, so she could read it.

"Dear Jimmy, Elizabeth, Bianca, and Cheren,

In this box is a Pokémon for each of you to start your journey with. Pick your Pokémon carefully as it is gonna be your partner throughout this journey. Words won't begin to describe how proud I am of you four! Once you recieve these Pokémon, come visit me in my lab!

"That's what the letter said," Elizabeth spoke as she put the note away in her back pocket. She opened up the box to see 4 seperate Pokéballs in it.

"I say Elizabeth should go first since this is her house!" Bianca cheered, "Agree?"

Jimmy and Cheren nodded simultaneously. "Agreed," they said in unison.

"Now pick!" Bianca cheered. Elizabeth looked at each Pokéball, and released each Pokémon inside. A Shuppet, and Tirtouga were among the Pokémon. After thinking about it, she picked up the Tirtouga.

"I'll pick this little guy," Elizabeth smiles at the Tirtouga. This Pokémon is a darkened hue of blue. It also has a black upper beak and “mask,” and black spots on the edges of its front flippers as well. Its black shell has inscription-like spiral patterning on it.

"Tir!" It cried happily as it looked at it's new trainer.

"Aww! How cute!" Bianca cheered as she looked at the Pokémon, "Go Next, Jimmy! Go next!"

Jimmy nodded and picked up Shuppet's ball almost instantly.

"I call dibs on this one," he said proudly.

Shuppet nodded. "Shup!" it exclaimed, sticking its tongue out and showing off his Red eyes. His body was a sort of greenish tint.

"He's unique to say the least," Elizabeth comments.

"I'm gonna pick next!" Bianca cheers as she looks at the two remaining Pokémon. oddly enough, she picks the trash like Pokémon. "You're just too cute! I'll call you....Trubby!"

"Trub! Trub!" Trubby cheers happily.

"Last but not least is Cheren," Elizabeth replies with a blush.

Jimmy caught the blush and chuckled. Creepy, as Jimmy had named him, floated over to sit Elizabeth's head.

Elizabeth was kind of caught off guard as Shuppet roosted ontop of her head.

"Oh, hello," Elizabeth smiled.

Tirtouga made his way over to Jimmy and smiled.

"Watcha gonna pick, Cheren? Hurry up, Slowpoke!" Bianca cheered.

Jimmy looked down at Tirtouga and smiled while Cheren reached over to the box and squinted in apprehension. He decided to pick a Frillish. It was a female.

"Frill!" it called out to him, smiling.

"Aww, it's so lovely, Cheren," Elizabeth replied with a blush before mumbling something to herself that no one else could hear, "Not as lovely as you though..."

"Tir!" Tirtouga cried out as he put out his flipper for Jimmy.

"Let's battle, Elizabeth! Let's battle!" Bianca cheered happily as Trubbish got into a battle stance.

"Um...how about we go outside first? I don't want the room to get destroyed..." Elizabeth said nervously.

Jimmy picked up Tirtouga and laughed. "This guys' cute," he chuckled.

Cheren nodded and started to walk out. "I'll see you guys outside," he said in a bored fashion.

"Tir!" Tirtouga smiles happily.

"O-okay..." Elizabeth blushed as she made her way outside. Bianca happily followed.

Once outside, Elizabeth led the group to a open field.

"Um...what should I name Tirtouga?" Elizabeth asked.

"Snappy!" Bianca cheered.

"Eh...Snappy?" Elizabeth asked oddly.

Jimmy agreed in his deep voice. "I like it, personally."

Cheren didn't reply. He just studied his Frillish intrigued. Creepy looked at it too, but with disgust.
