Two older kids traveling with Ash?

im just wondering how he meets them, seeing as we cant use the plot device of ash getting to meet them when they're about to receive their starter. i imagine that they have already started their journeys assuming the age to receive a Pokemon is still 10.

i don't really mind, maybe they can teach ash a thing or two. besides he has had older traveling companions with him, like Brock (15), and misty (13 i believe)

Misty is the same age as Ash. She just was taller than him.

I'd rather they make Ash older to match the new trainers, instead of him traveling with older people. The latter just seems like the lazy way out.

she was? it sure didn't seem that way. anyways im speculating that's exactly what they will do sadly. or i could be wrong, but what exactly would his age be? 11? they can't just pop up a number out of nowhere, i think a proper event like a birthday at least should do the trick, or not.
 
All I want is to get rid of Brock and replace him with Black. Replacing Dawn with White is debatable.
 
They'll probably age them to be the same age as Ash. Even if not, I don't really see a problem. It could arouse some interesting situations and gags resulting due to the age difference.

Yeah. I'm a little nervous about the idea of replacing both of Ash's travel partners at once, but since I'm lking White a lot, I could deal with it

why must we be so hostile towards the main cast? i love all of these guy's, and don't think either one of them should be replaced, rather, we should just add another person to the happy family.

Because Brock has been doing the same joke for 12 seasons now, it's old and it's boring.

team rocket? ASH? pikachu? there also pulling the same routine as well, and you don't see me complaining. Brock deserves to be here just as equally as the rest of them. but whatever i guess it all falls down to preference.
 
I don't know. Since the new protagonists are older, I wouldn't be surprised if Brock got the boot only to be replaced by Black. IMO, this should happen. XD

I can see Dawn staying actually, maybe White could be Ash's rival. Then Black'll go gaga for White to remind us of Brock. lol

My theories are really weird.

Brock doesn't influence the plot the way that the others do.
I'm up for changing up TR. (Not getting rid of them, since they still actively influence the plots of the episodes. But maybe give them a new member of the team?)

Brock just sort of cooks meals and hits on girls. Anyone can do that. Black could do that.
Black should do that.

no actually that sounds really good. unfortunately the writers will write off dawn like they do with every other female protagonist :(

Ive already stated how i feel about replacing any cast member, so ill just leave it at that.
 
I get the idea they'll most likely de-age them or something, which would be incredibly weird but interesting nonetheless.

Since the male trainer looks so much like Red and subsequently Ash, he's pretty much doomed to Movie cameos. The female trainer looks too masculine to be in contests, so her journey might definitely stand out from May and Dawn's completely.
 
If they replace dawn with the BW girl character, thats gonna be kinda creepy, as corocoro said she's older, meaning brock can likely hit on her without it being too weird.

How does Black look like ash? He has different colored hair, different styled hair, different color scheme, different style clothes.
