i had a team laid out for casual battling and i realize that there was too many holes as far as type resistance goes. I need a little help... ive only trained one pokemon (milotic) so im open for any suggestions.

my planned team is as follows

Milotic (already trained)
Mamoswine
Leafeon
Lapras
Magnezone
Metagross

any pointers for a more balanced team will be conidered. I wont get rid of my Milotic though cause i gave up my dialga and a week of my life to get it and train it. thank you.

Whoa,

There's a huge gap in your team.
As far as resistance goes you need the milotic.
Because fire will hurt x_x.
4 are weak to fire and.
Find some more balance against fire.

3 have a weakness to gras 2 to electric
Wich gives you few switch-in options
No resistance to fighting (wich can really be a pain)
3 are weak to fighting :O!

It's not a bad team =)
Just beware of infernape :O!!!

It would be nice if everyone could start posting EVs and movesets, because you may have the best team in the world, but there's going to be flaws in it if you do the EV training wrong and have movesets that don't work...

Anyway, like it's been pointed out, you do have a lot of weaknesses in this team. You're definitely keeping Milotic, and since 3/5 of the rest of them are OU, you should build it for OU. We can go ahead and take care of what Mukubird mentioned by giving you two Pokémon to counter Heracross and Infernape. Everyone knows that Gliscor is the best Heracross counter and it can provide good defensive bulk to the team, and Azelf can "counter" Infernape; it can switch in on anything but its Fire attacks and kill it off with Psychic. If Infernape isn't feeling lucky, you can get a free Nasty Plot in while it switches as well, if you choose to run Nasty Plot. So right now you have:
Milotic, Gliscor, and Azelf
I don't really think that Mamoswine should stick it on this team. As for Metagross and Magnezone, I think you should only use one of them and not both, since using both of them adds 2 Fire and Ground weaknesses at the same time. Right now you're lacking a real physical attacker but that can be added later, so it's up to you. A mixed Salamence would be great, as it can break down walls really well and it works well with Metagross. Azelf is a very fast special attacker, but you don't have a very fast pure physical attacker. You can try Choice Scarf Heracross for that, and it works well with Azelf.
Milotic, Gliscor, Azelf, Metagross/Magnezone, Salamence, Heracross.
I don't see any huge weaknesses in this team right now, although there very well could be. If you like it, find some movesets you like for them, and try posting again.

Thanks for the comments ive adjusted now and by the way my team is gonna be pretty relaxed when it comes to competition. ill probably battle other people with noobish teams.
