Sun and Moon brought a lot of Pokemon in that cut down our number of Pokemon with unique type combinations-what type combinations did you like seeing used again?

I love the Ghost/Fire combination, and even with only two lines having it, they still have some of my favorites designs!

Bringing Electric/Steel back for Togedemaru has been fun to see, too-even if I absolutely hate having to go up against one...

And it's totally new, but I love Alolan Sandshrew's Ice/Steel-It's pretty nice defensively!

Nihilego and Kartana are the first two to jump to my mind. Using Rock to equate glass and Grass to equate paper felt new and creative, since they don't seem to mess around with "derivative" materials very much. It made those two a bit more interesting. Pairing Kartana's Grass type with Steel was also a great idea - not only does the Steel type emphasize its razor-like sharpness, but it also gives it the extreme susceptibility to Fire that one would expect from a paper creature.

Minior was a good one - in the simplest terms, meteors could certainly be described as "flying rocks." In fact, that has a very blunt, child-like view to it, which I think makes it feel more "outside the box." It's certainly more interesting that just giving it Levitate would have been.

I'm happy to see Bug/Electric again. Actually, the Bug type got a lot of attention in Gen VII, and I appreciate that.

All in all, I'm very satisfied in general with the typing of Gen VII's Pokémon - there are a lot of great combinations in there that I had been wanting to see. Dragon/Fighting, Fighting/Ghost, Ice/Steel, among others.

Fire/Dragon. I have wanted this type combination for a while now. Unfortunately, that type combination was attached to Turtanator, a Pokémon who's design I very much disliked. I now hope for a future Fire/Dragon Pokémon that comes with a Pokémon I actually like.

Water/Fairy. Amazing both on offense and defense. Even better when it's on a starter that is absolutely adorable.
Bug/Water. After Surskit disappointing the world by not keeping its unique type it's nice seeing this type combo getting its due twice.
Dragon/Fighting. Been wanting to see this one for a long time. They should have buffed sky uppercut or given Kommo-o close combat.
Electric/Psychic. The extra type works wonders for Raichu it's far more useful against more pokemon because of it.
Ice/Fairy. While the fairy type can't save ice from its fragility it does make for a fun offensive typing. Alolan Ninetales being an offensive mon is really useful and it's one of the few times I'm glad alolan forms have small stat changes from the originals.

Water/Fairy (Primarina) and Electric/Psychic (Alola Raichu) I think are my favorite type combos as of the moment.

This part is off topic but special shout-out to Toucannon's signature move, Beak Blast. Despite being a normal/flying boring regional bird, the effect of burning opponents who use physical attacks when the bird is using Beak Blast is pretty awesome. I didn't even bother with Talonflame's line being available in the game because Toucannon's Beak Blast and ability to learn Flame Charge through TM.

-Water/Fairy and Grass/Fairy: It was nice to see them having their actual debut with popular concepts like a mermaid and a fairy tale mushroom. Same things with Bug/fairy, which was just begging for a small bug to adopt it and it happened. I was hoping to say the same about fairy/flying through.
-Fire/Dark Incineroar: I don't think i have to explain why.
-Fight/Ice: About time this one debuted.
-Dragon/fight: Kommo-o rocks it completely, It could have been a forgettable cuadruped lizard without evolutions but it wasn't.

grass/steel (liked the UB, real starter material, could see a rhino, wolf or ape with this, but with a good ability)
fire/poison ( lizard was very good but a snake starter material, how to surpass corrosion? maybe a ability to burn everything , even fire types and those immune to burn???)
bug/water (golisopod and aquarahnid made bugs great again, starter material, if a faster and better pirate spider with canon then I'm in )
fire/ghost (alolan marowak made me a great hunger for this, want a good starter with these, ghost rider, centaur, speed between Incineroar and Deciduey, with ability that work s like fire type gale wings- Hell rider -but it activates after you loose 50% of hp and a fire type version of paraboli charge named- Hell fire+Spirit shackle as lasso+ new ghost type switching oponents out move Spook-Whip),
fire/dragon
grass/dragon
electric/steel,
dragon/fighting,
electric/psychic
ghost/fairy,
grass/ghost (now we need only a legendary and a special attacker),
ice/steel
ice/fairy
ice/fighting
water/fairy

Azumarill...

I like how Fight/Ghost is now a thing but I wish it wasn't restricted to an event legendary. These are the best STAB combos in the game, and defensively better than Fight/Dark (another equivalently good STAB combo) since it has immunity to fighting and is hit neutral by dark types.

Actual as in designed with that combination in mind.;) Grass/fairy also had debuted with Cottonee and Whimsicott. ;)

nice way they made a new water /poison pokemon, hope they will do once a mammal(Schrew) or snake with this typing.

( imagine the starters: fire/fairy, water/poison, grass/steel or fire/steel, water/poison and grass/rock, or they could make a grass/electric with a electric move thats super effective against steel types )

Electric+Flying (hello yellow Oricorio). Water+Electric is another of my all-time favorite combinations (e.g. Lanturn) but I actually didn't use it much in this Gen.
