I just counted 48 slurp spiders on our forums... plus 2 from Google. Do they need to have that many on our forums?

No, it's probably just chance.
I mean, yeah, it's a load on our servers and all of that, but all they do is index. I don't think Yahoo is invading Bulbagarden.
