A Murkrow soars overhead, it's blunt beak gleaming in the morning sun. You think nothing of it; Murkrow are always flying around your city. However, upon closer inspection, you'd find that this one is different. The Murkrow has a snip of yarn tied around it's foot. But, more importantly, it's holding a letter in it's beak, and it seems to be addressed. The Murkrow lands on the fence and offers you the papers. Inside, you find a note:
Dear Student,
You have been selected from many Pokémon Trainers across the globe to study at the famous Umbrage University. If you wish to enroll, please have your parent or guardian sign this form and give it to the messenger bird so that we may put you in our databases.
This school gives lots of freedom, but we do, of course, have some rules. You may bring four Pokémon to school. You do have 10 minutes of access to a PC to conserve energy. Do NOT wear sleeveless shirts, miniskirts or high heels to school. If you choose to do so, expect a detention or suspension immediately.
We do hope to enjoy having you this year. Remember, Trainers, this is the perfect opportunity to become a Gym Leader, professional Breeder or Connoisseur. We hope to help in your journey, wherever it takes you.

History
A long time ago, in the Johto region, two close families, the Melindys and the Umbrages, formed the Umbrage University. Together, they promoted learning and wisdom to all aspiring Pokémon Trainers. The two headmistresses, Eugenie Melindy and Pamela Umbrage, were the best of friends, and tried to share their authority as much as possible.
However, one day, Eugenie became greviously sick. She was away from her job for 3 months, in which Pamela found more authority than she could handle. Over the months, she fired teachers, frightened students, and made the school into a torturous place, where nobody could be safe.
400 students quit school in just those 3 months.
When Melindy returned, she was outraged. She had hardly a sliver of respect for her equal; her former friend. After years of working to provide the perfect education, her closest friend had destroyed the company. She became so outraged, in fact, that she challenged Umbrage to a Pokémon duel against their family's good name. And while it was a close battle, it was the Melindy Spiritomb that struck the final blow.
60 years later, the granddaughter of Eugenie Melindy is running the repaired school again, trying to wipe away the marks of it's past. But, of course, there's always the future.

Rules
- Always follow directions from a GM.
- Be atleast semi-active. Posting after school and on weekends is a perfect example.
- Teachers are aloud one pseudo-legendary or minor legendary. (Manaphy) All players are allowed 4 Pokémon.
- Don't post anything vulgar, obscene, sexually suggestive, etc. This is rated E 10+, so only very minor swearing, and not in every post.
- I guess you can post 'Umbrage' in the Other section in a less-than-obvious way to show you read the rules.

In battle, Janet is hotheaded and doesn't hold back. She simply can't turn down a challenge, even if the opponent is significantly stronger. She doesn't mind losing, and sees each loss as a learning experience. She is intelligent when it comes to battle strategy, not planning beforehand, but rather adapting to the opponent's strategy first. She sees her Pokémon as equals, and will often give them the same privileges as herself.
