That's what it says on the magazine.

Translation:
Popular game characters to appear on the anime!!
International Police Investigator Handsome. He says his strong point is disguising...!?
Achroma and G-cis will also appear.
Cheren is also rumored to appear

All these late appearances of game characters in the anime.. Better late than never I guess. I did wanted to see them.

Would he be in his BW1 look, or his BW2 look? They don't have to attach him to Bianca in the anime, so they can go with either.

YES! Please be true!

Because Cheren's now a Gym Leader, there's no excuse for him NOT to show up at least once in the anime.

Didn't see that coming, I'm so glad for this! Please don't be like Bel though, she was so good in-game so I hope they stick to CHeren being the kid who learned from Adeku and his philosophy on "once you achieve success, what next? Though I thought Shooti was meant to be a stand-in for Cheren, just like Shinji was for Silver. Interesting, better late than never. Hoping they go with his BW2 stuff and hoping he battles Iris' Kibago Satoshi since as a teacher he uses weaker Pokemon to battle his challengers as confirmed in-game.

what is the magazine? i can go find it and confirm if this is shooped or not. i love cheren :( :( :( :(

I hope this is real. I want to see how Cheren would interact with Belle (if she'll appear after the league).

Could someone please translate what the line says for those of use who don't know Japanese?

Ash and co. are confirmed to go to Floccesy Town for BW111 or BW112, and it will be there they will confront Team Plasma. Aspertia City, the location in which Cheren is situated as a Gym Leader in the BW2 games, is very close to that location. The only problems I can see with a possible Cheren appearance in the anime are his age (he is supposed to be Bianca's age in the games, and the anime Bianca is her BW1 look and age) and his status as a Gym Leader. Lenora is already giving out the Basic Badges, so there would not be two Gym Leaders giving out that badge to gym battle winners simultaneously.

Chances are that this may be fake or wishful thinking.

Magazines themselves have been known to state rumors that had no basis in fact. There was an entire article with speculation about B2W2 that ended up being far remote from (and more interesting than) the actual news that would later be reported. Still, this particular magazine has a picture of Looker we haven't seen before.

I think it's possible we'll see Cheren training to become a gym leader while Bianca will start working for Professor Juniper. The writers could just say that Cheren collected badges before Bianca did. It would look forced, but then Episode N in general is quite forced due to its disconnection from the rest of Best Wishes.

They could always combine his BW age and BW2 appearance. It's not like his age in the games is ever stated anyway.

I've been told that one of the images from this website is from Famitsu, though I'm not sure if all of them are from the same magazine.

Where did you see that? I only saw one commenter ask if this was from Pokemon Fan and someone else replied by saying that it looks like it's from Dengeki.

Even the Japanese fans have no idea what magazine this is supposed to be from.

Famitsu wouldn't make sense because that's a video game magazine.

Famitsu has had anime-related stuff iirc. It's generally relegated to a small spot on a single page, but I'm pretty sure I have seen it. It's possible that I might be confusing it with Dengeki, but the latter is essentially a video-game magazine as well.

Well, if the rumors are true, then Ash would probably have another rival.
