Hello hello hello!
I've honestly had this written all the way back in July but I honestly forgot to post it until now!
Here's a little fic based on my Miitopia playthrough, though it features a Pokémon and Beetlejuice character. Not the first fic I've written about this duo, but the first one I'm putting in the Non-Pokémon section of the forums.

Lydia’s eyes slowly pried themselves open. She didn’t know what exactly got her awake, but she didn’t want to fall back asleep. “Ugh…” She threw the covers off her body, got out of bed, and slumped down on a desk to face the mirror. Vampires don’t usually wake up early, but at least the sun wasn’t fully up yet.
“Morning Lydia.” Bugsy, Lydia’s ally on this journey that’s been lasting for god knows how long, was eating a hot slice of Geothermal Pizza. He and the rest of the party got a couple slices from Karkaton the other day. This warrior really liked this delicacy and hoped his vampiric friend would too. “Pizza?” He asked as he set the plate down on a nearby desk.
The scent of hot and ready pizza filled the Connecticut girl’s nose. She hasn’t seen things like this in Peaceful Pines. Though still groggy, Lydia took a slice and had a bite. That perked her right up. “Thanks! Oh, and good morning, Bugsy.” She said, giving a smile. However, that smile only lasted for a moment. “Um… Bugsy?” She pointed right at her companion with a look of confusion.
“Hm? What is it?” Bugsy asked before he looked down at his attire. He’s not in his usual armor. In fact, he’s not in any armor at all. He’s currently dressed in some green boy scout like garb with a yellow tie. “Oh. You’ve… never seen me outside of my armor.”
“Yeah. I um… never saw you like that before.” Lydia said after swallowing her food. Bugsy’s seen her not wearing her usual vampiric suit, but rather her a spider web poncho, however the general vibe of it was hardly alarming there. In this case, seeing Bugsy in boy scout-esque clothes was shocking. It was a completely different tone from his armor.
“Well, back in my homeworld, Johto, I’m a gym leader and Bug-Type Pokémon researcher. I have a few friends, but hardly any that are so into bugs like me.” Bugsy sat down in a chair near the desk Lydia was seated at.
The vampire girl nodded. “I get it. I… also don’t have a lot of friends, back where I’m from. I’m kind of a standout, but not really in a good way.” She rubbed the back of her head. “But I do have one. One really close friend. He’s a bit of a stinker but deep down, he’s got a heart of mold.”
Mold? Bugsy tilted his head. Did he hear that right? “Don’t you mean gold?” He asked.
“No. I meant mold. But he’s still not a bad guy.” Lydia giggled.
Bugsy nodded and laughed a bit. “I gotcha.” He looked down at one of the pockets on his shirt. “Y’know, when this whole quest in Miitopia is done, think we’ll remember one another?” He asked.
Lydia wanted to be optimistic with her answer, but in truth, she wasn’t sure about that. “I hope so. I haven’t met someone so obsessed with bugs like me. Well, except my one friend, but he likes bugs in a kinda different way.” She said as she played with a strand of her hair. “You’ve been a good friend to me, Bugsy.”
“Hey, no problem! I mean, if we’re gonna be on this journey, we might as well get along, right?” Bugsy replied with a smile. “In case you do forget me, I’d like to give you this.” He reached into his pocket and pulled out a badge with a ladybug-like appearance.
Lydia’s eyes widened a little. “What’s that?” She asked.
“This? This is the Hive Badge. Back in my world, we gym leaders hand over badges to Pokémon Trainers that defeat us. If they have 8 badges, they can battle the Pokémon League!” Bugsy explained. “I know this’ll probably kinda break league rules here. But I think it’ll be worth it.” He placed the badge into the girl’s palm. “Maybe, if you ever come to my world, you’ll come visit me in Azalea Town. Or you could become a Pokémon trainer specializing in Bug-types! Or ghost and dark types!” He laughed a bit, remembering that Lydia had a fondness for gothic stuff.
Lydia looked at the Hive Badge. “Thanks Bugsy. I’ll hold onto this.” She smiled and put the badge into her pocket before giving the entomologist a hug.
Bugsy smiled back and returned the hug. He won’t forget this moment, just like he'd hopefully won’t forget Lydia.
