I decided to create my first page today on Bulbapedia. I have edited a few pages here and there, adding some info on one or the other, but this was the first time I decided to make my own page.

I will admit that I'm a noob at Wiki pages, but I was motivated to contribute due to my love for Bulbapedia.

Not long after creating my page, it was marked for deletion. I decided to keep improving it anyway and about two hours in I was done. However, by this time it was already deleted... The response for the moderator was oddly cold and unsupportive. Something I did not expect from such a high-quality website. I recreated the page anyway and before I could go to the talk page of my creation it was deleted again.

This second creation seemed to really piss off the administrator, where he subsequently blew a gasket on my talk page. Virtually screaming at me for making what he felt was an unnecessary page.

I am posting here because I'm pretty much done with Bulbapedia. I'm totally discouraged and disheartened and don't give enough of a sh*t to bother wasting my time contributing. I just hope that this is not standard operating procedure here at Bulbapedia and needed to get this off of my chest before leaving indefinitely.

If anyone is interested in our discussion. I was trying to create a single page that comprehensively listed all the events one could complete in a single day. Since I could not find such a list already on Bulbapedia and thought it to be needed.

I had done some previous work improving the "Lass" page, since it did not have any information about Lass in D/P/Pl.

my talk page said:
You've got great grammar, dude...
But please, check over the style. We don't say you get 38472 Poké from Trainers you defeat, it's pDollar38472. Also, we already have a page on the more temporal aspects of Pokémon, which have been around for far longer than DPPt. * I think you are mistaken in saying that the time page accurately covers what I was creating. I have moved my stuff to the Pokemon Wikia, so you won't have to worry about it clogging up Bulbapedia, but since I spent a good half hour looking for this same information on this site and could not find it, I figured that this information was important and reliant. ::Actually I'm not mistaken. Because I linked you to two pages, derpoid, not one. Just because we don't have a retarded GameFAQs walkthrough on how to do every time-based event doesn't mean we don't have a list of them.
::However, do enjoy Wikia. Their quality's #1 arse-in-the-hole. AND IT'S ALL USED FOR THEIR WALLETS! Maybe if you learned to spell or searched Saturday instead of "Every event that happens on every day of the week", you wouldn't have this problem. We aren't Google, and even Google won't find you what you're looking for all the time if you're completely stupidly specific on something you have a vague knowledge of. Know why we don't have a page titled "Synopsis of The Ties that Bind"? Because it's under EP269! you created a page we didnt need and you created it very poorly.
when an admin deletes a page, you usually dont re-create it.

it should be noted, if anyone flew off the handle here, it was you. TTE explained to you that the information was unneeded, and then you ignored him. why did you do that? so you went against the rules and created the page again. after being told a second time that the page was unnecessary, TTE, albeit, more sternly, told you not to create the page, which you apparently took as an attack, and then it appears that YOU flew off the handle.

think about that. you were told not to do something, you did it anyway, and when told a second time not to do it, you got mad. who is the one with the unsettling behavior here?

... um, wow. Oversensitive much?

I can understand why you'd be a little miffed at having the same page deleted twice, especially with it being your first page and all, but shit, man. It's just the internet. Don't take it so personally. There's other ways you can contribute to the 'Pedia, but if an administrator tells you that they don't need a page, then... don't make it, even if you want to. Simple as that.

Interesting. Since I'm too lazy to check myself, did an you continue to recreate your page after being explicitly told by an administrator to cease recreating your page? BTW, they're moderators on the forums and administrators on Bulbapedia.

He recreated the page after being told not to! I think this just got blown way out of proportion to what happened, both people where at fault or at least that's the way I see it.

That's just the way I see it... i see harmony between two people as something that has to be coexistant, or something both people have. If an argument happens then both people are at fault.

Nope. that is a lie.

If you were told not to remake the page, dont remake it. Ever. Theres a reason hes the Editor in Chief, and its not because hes a scientologist.

Kenji 03, you were the one at fault here. Although TTE did act harshly on the topic.

Oh... and DCM. I've remade a page, and its still here today, Tall Grass. Mind you, it was better than the deleted one.

But if TTE didn't DO anything, then it's not his fault. He was doing his job.

Guys, you honestly cannot change my opinion on this, very few people have ever been able to change my opinion. Oh, and DCM, thats an opinion.

Yeah, you try to tell the other people that! I just stated my opinion nobody had to remark upon it. In fact, here is a prime example of my opinion, I stated my opinion, everybody tries to say shit about it (everbodies elses fault in argument), so instead of being the bigger person, I try to argue back (my fault in the arguement.)

And nothing of value was lost.

I disagree with you, which means there's disharmony between us, which means that it's partly your fault.

I see ya problem, Kenji, but you shouldn't remake a page twice. If you do it once, then it's okay, but twice is quite bad. And absolutely, DO NOT do it thrice.

Let's remember that, while "Don't remake deleted pages" is extremely obvious to us, a new member might not even realize that the page was deleted intentionally.
