Basically, ITT we talk about food we recently tried for the first time and what we liked or didn't like about it.

Most recent really new food for me was tuna steak. Mom cooked 'em with a little salt and pepper in a searing hot pan. They were still pink and juicy in the middle and didn't taste like fish at all. It was really amazing and delicious.

So, what new food have you guys eaten lately, and what did you think of them?

I've recently had what was labelled as Norway Mackerel, and to my surprise, it was really good. It had a fish taste, but it was unlike most other fish I've had. I've also had Baby Octopus, which I didn't find to appealing, I simply fried it in a little butter, salt, and pepper. I might try them again if I bake them instead.

Last Thursday, my boyfriend made a really delicious Korean beef stir fry with enoki mushrooms (I think that's what they're called; they're very thin with little round tips) and kimchi pancakes. TOTALLY YUMMY.

It was like the second time I've ever tried any kind of authentic Asian food.

Tried octopus at a sushi restaurant. Not as bad as I thought it would be.

i got to try buffalo the other day... it was pretty good, very lean and very filling at the same time... better then beef imo :D

I had these fried grubs once, they were actually pretty good. Tasted like peanut butter.

Buffalo is delicious! Buffalo burgers are so nom nom nom. And I love my Octopus n_n

I had perch (fish) today...I didn't like it much at all. >_< Tomorrow, I'm going to try pigeon. =D
