An updated version of the current opening just aired.

It showed Pancham and Aria.
 
I was missing the emotional scenes for Pokémon openings, it has been a while since we got those. But... what's with Ash in that scene? Was he saying to Serena to take it easy, or was he just oblivious? It looks more like the latter to me but I'm not sure. I can notice the scenes are not drawn taking the credits placement into consideration, since poor Clemont has this wall of text shoved up in front of him. I kind of disliked that, even if it's a detail.

The rest of the scenes were beautiful, specially the sunset one. However, with all of this focus on Serena I wonder if Bonnie or Clemont will get the same treatment as well, in the future. I wouldn't like it if this was biased towards one of the characters alone.

Also, I hope that Pancham having its own scene doesn't mean it will not be included with Serena in the scene where she's with Fennekin. The same goes for Luxio for Clemont's scene with Chespin and Bunnelby.
 
Yes!!! Shauna, Tierno and Trevor are confirmed as recurring characters! This saga is finally taking shape.

For a Serena opening it's pretty good. I would've liked to see more spoilers, but Grace looked like she has a secret or something.

We might get Clemont's version with Luminose city and his father after this one, but I would have prefered a new opening :/
 
The heavier focus on Serena makes me think that she's finally going to develop more as a trainer and decide what she wants to do on the journey in the near future.
 
The Serena focused opening is just great. I already love (Mega) Volt, so if they only alter the opening montage to reflect the story while keeping the song, I'm perfectly okay with that. It looks like we'll see more interaction from Grace and Pancham appears to sport the sunglasses already (in addition to being full of energy). Yes! I can't wait for the following episodes. And finally, we might be able to meet Aria.

Bonus points if she turns out to be a total snob in person.

You have no idea how much I want this.

I just want Elle to have a terrible personality in real life while maintaining the image of a perfect girl on TV.
 
I knew they'd get rid of the Korrina scenes. I hope she's recurring and Serena seems sad.
