Welcome to Urban Rivals, an RPG idea I've had for a while.
Urban Rivals takes place in the fictional country of Loca. Those who are here are capable of manipulation of natural effect, or Magic; civilians and higher officials alike. The magic one can use depends greatly on the user's own personality.
These organizations and the people of the country make heavy use of magic. Magic is the essence of all of life, the very foundation of existence. At the center of this power is the mysterious and ethereal Goddess of Magic; the source of all of the world's magic. The lore stated that the goddess descended upon the world during a time of total warfare, calming the violence with her power. To prevent social stagnation, she bestowed all in the world with the power of manipulating nature itself.
With that power, she intended for man to work together to create a perfect world. And this was the first time a god made a mistake.
For ten thousand years, man has evolved drastically; both in power, intelligence, and belligerence. The want to conquer transcended past not only violent approaches, but through politics and finances. However, this is not to say that war is not a prevalent choice.
Each class of magic potential, or the amount of innate energy one contains, is delineated between 5 ranks: F - A. Those who are drafted into warfare are capable of using magic on an above average level, being around C - B level.
You will play characters with differentiating magical potential. Every single one of these characters, differing in personality, background, and personal goals all have one thing in common; they all happen to live in the same neighborhood. These characters, bound together by Fate itself, will be tested. Targeted to be the protectors of a country under siege, do these young magic-users have what it takes to work together against forces that go beyond even their own limitations?
Living in such close quarters with one another can be a challenging task. They are Urban Rivals.

Rules
- Follow all BMGf rules. Including the more obvious ones like spamming or flaming.
- Respect your fellow RPers. We are all here to have fun; don't belittle someone if they are doing worse than you.
- Respect the Mods and GM. I and the mods are here to ensure that the game runs smoothly.
- No God-Modding. Your character cannot easily win fights. Make sure to let enemies have some chance to attack. Solving every problem instantly makes for an extremely boring RP.
- Keep OOC to a minimum. Keep all major discussions within this thread.
- Do not control other character's players. Proper procedure in any RP.
- Be Descriptive. Short posts make for a very boring RP. Go for three sentences to a paragraph, please.
- No Duplicate Powers. No one may have the same powers as another. All of your powers are different.

Name: Nero Allyson
Gender: Female

Sexuality: Bisexual
Appearance: Nero is a young woman of black hair, going down to the base of her neck. Her side bangs are long, framing her face and reaching past her shoulders. She has a pair of sapphire blue eyes, as well as a soft face. She is only slightly tall, being around 5'9 in height.
She is normally seen in her regular battle attire; with white bell-sleeves and tan, fingerless gloves. She wears a small, segmented piece of armor on each of her upper arms. She is seen with black stockings or socks on her legs which reach to about halfway up her thighs, leaving an area of bare skin on her upper thighs. All of this is usually combined with her shorts, which leave much of her legs exposed.
When not fighting, she can be seen wearing a tank top of some sort; but never bothers to put on anything else besides that. Normally, only a pair of panties and socks will do; sometimes even forgoing one of the two.
Personality: Nero is a very confident, having a wild fearlessness to her. While she may be afraid, she tends to not wish to back down. However, she is strong and incredibly stubborn; not wishing to stand down from any type of strategy.
She is a blunt person, never standing down or hesitating to tell anyone of their faults. She is shown to be somewhat of a taunter, having a twisted sense of honor as well; not condoning sneaking up on opponents, but doing the same in retaliation.
She is shown to be incredibly selfless and compassionate, treating her friends as if they were her world. However, this stems from her being afraid that she may lose them one day to the violence that plagues them.
History: Nero has spent the bulk of her life not knowing what happened to her. As a result of the amnesia, she strives to figure out the cause of her parent's disappearance and what her name really is.
Occupation: Local Bounty Hunter
Magical Ability: Weapon and Blacksmith Magic are her forte. Starting off with only guns, she was capable of creating artificial rounds of bullets that lasted almost infinitely; depending on her amount of strength left. Not only that, but she could create elemental bullets that dealt heavy damage. Now, she has learned the power of Blacksmith Magic that would allow her to craft her own weapons with desired effects. However, these require much effort, time, and energy to craft. After they are done, however; she can access them or equip them to others at will.
- Advantages: Nero is capable of creating her own weapons, each having the effect she chooses.
- Disadvantages: The power of each weapon is dependent on how much magic it will take to operate, which also converts to how long she must work to craft it. Some can take a few seconds to even weeks to work on.
Weapons:
Nero uses a plethora of weapons that she can summon at will. However, she must not only imagine the weapon; but she must craft it as well. To get desired effects, she must work tirelessly for hours on them. Below are her most used weapons.
Signature: Nero's Signature is called "Dragoon Set", where she summons her legendary Dragoon Weaponry Set; complete with reinforced Draco Armor, an enchanted halibert, and a jewel in the middle of her armor's chest that allows her access to powerful light and darkness magic. In this set, her power is almost tripled; causing much destruction. She is capable of felling great enemies with this Weaponry Set, but is unable to equip any other weapons with it. She can only keep the Dragoon Set up for about 10 minutes; and she is left extensively exhausted in the end.

- Atlas
Nero's most powerful weapon, a large axe-bludgeon with a long handle. The blade itself is strong enough to cut through solid steel. The axe-bludgeon is tall, being nearly a foot taller than Nero herself.
- Tigris
A pair of dual pistols modified to feed off of Nero's energy. They can combine to become a sniper rifle, machine gun, shotgun, and even a bazooka.
- Euphrates
A black blade that Nero summons. It utilizes darkness elemental magic, which she can use to attack others. The blade is good for causing massive amounts of damage and injury; as the raw power of the blade compacted into it allows it short, but unreliably rare, bursts of power.
- Socrates
A white blade that Serah summons. It utilizes light elemental magic, which she can use to attack others. The blade is used to cut through defenses and barriers, able to rip through armor if enough pressure is applied. It cannot kill, however. When used with Life Energy, it can dispel illusory effects.
- Gaia
A pair of fist gauntlets used to shake the very earth. Their raw power is strong enough to rip through solid steel.
- Atomos
A bow that fires energy arrows. The arrows it shoots are capable of many different feats; mostly for elemental effect. It boasts the least amount of immediate power, but can be powered up for as long as Serah keeps charging the power.
- Prometheus
A small knife Nero utilizes when on stealth operations. It is dipped with poison that can be lethal if not treated; but is mostly used for stunning enemies.
