Hmmm. A quick glance tells me there is no general advice thread. Therefore I have created this thread for my pathetic problem. Please close it and beat me senseless with a sock full of batteries if I missed the proper place.

I recently took a second job working in store. Besides the horrible pay, there's another reason why I show up. The store was an integrated SubWay and today there was an IMMENSLY pretty girl working there.

Throughout her shift I past by pretending to be working and occasionally she gave me a glance and once I believe she smiled.

Now she's a complete stranger but I would definately like to know her better. How would I go about learning her name or building up to a request for a date? She or any of the other employees there don't wear nametags, so that's out. It's so difficult to just start a conversation out of the blue u_u;;;

I also don't want to come off creepy and scare her away <_<;;;

The first key to being accepted at a job is knowing the people you're working with.

Walking up to her, saying "Hi, I'm new, I'm ____" is a surefire way to get you at least her name and a conversation. Don't be bashful about it, be assertive, but not overly strong in your approach. Be confident but not cocky, and from there, if you see her in passing, a simple "hi, what's new?" can lead to a conversation or two. Once you've talked to her a few times--well, be straight, ask for her number.

I would just talk to her. Perhaps if something amusing in the store happens, you can joke about it. Pretend she's any other person you work with- would you get anxious about talking with him or her?

My advice would be treat her like dirt, people seem to like that and being nice just gets you walked on

Try to be her friend first. Don't try to bed her on the first go - take your time.

Yeah true but still don't waste too much time on her if she doesn't have sex with you, in my experience that's all the humans are really good for

Just walk up to her in a casual way and ask how she's doing.
