When you're battling a powerful trainer (like Ghetsis or cyrus), do you use revives(Including revival herb) in battle. Because I kept using it when I was a beginner in ruby since I raise only my starter and have 5 other weak fodders but now that I know a lot, i never use revives.(If there is already a post similar to this, can anyone close this?)

I never use them, just because it takes the fun out of it and it's kinda cheap. If the AI would use them, maybe I would too.
But then again, they do spam healing items and the like, which I don't use either, so yeah. I just like to treat every in-game battle like a real competitive battle, so no item using in-battle for me.

The only times I've used Revives in a battle was with Ghetsis a couple of days ago. Usually, my team is leveled to around 65 by that point in the game, but, for some reason, that time, my highest leveled Pokémon was still weaker than Ghetsis' Hydreigon. I used, I think, 20 Revives and a load of Full Restores while gradually weakening his Hydreigon and waiting for it to use most of its PP up. As soon as it could only use moves that weren't very effective against my Samurott, though, I was able to get rid of it with a few X-Scissors.

I use revives a LOT in difficult battles. >>; In Pt and White, I have an unlimited supply of Max Revives. I never have to worry again!

I never use Revive Herbs, or any of the stuff Pokemon hate. D8 Who would do that to their Pokemon?

If I have to then I will. Usually I'll send out a HM slave to kill a turn while I revive something I need.

I use them during the E4. This is generally because I'm lazy, and like to have my Pokemon under leveled for that reason. So I generally like to have 30-40 of those, just in case.

Sometimes, I think it's almost impossible to beat the harder trainers (champions, Ghetsis, etc.) without using them, so, yeah, I use them occasionally, because I don't feel like training my whole team to level 70+ just so I don't have to use revives.

I don't do it. I like to battle the person fairly, using potions is OK, just not revives. (I might be a little weird :p)

Not usually, because they cost a lot. If I think I can make it through the battle without one, I won't use it. However if I don't think I'll make it through without one, I'll probably use it and hope my judgment was right.

I blow all my cash on Revives and blow them every battle I faint in.

Same with other RPGs, except replace Revives with Phoneix Downs/whatever.

Hell yeah I use revives. That's what I spend 50% of my money on in-game.

In competitive battles, I never use revives with the launcher, because then that's a bit cheap.

Along with Lemonades and Moo Moo Milk, Revives are the items I buy the most. I don't feel guilty for using them at all; The Elite Four force you to fight them all one after another without a return to a Pokemon Center, and they have no qualms with using Full Restores, so I'll happily take advantage of everything I can get to teach the so-called best trainers of the region a lesson.

I see many people here actually only wants to win and use revives but I have to ask you all something, is it the thrill of the fighting or is it winning the battle that you more enjoy?

I never use them because I feel it's cheap and it makes the big battles seem much less epic.

And hey, these games are already outrageously easy without having to use revives in battles.

I never use them if I can help it all and I make sure that my Pokemon don't faint to avoid it. I have used Full Restores in Story Mode when battling the Elite Four and the Champion, but completely avoid Revives (in battle).

I have Revives, but I only use them in the event of extreme hax.
For instance:
Opponent: Critical hit!
Me: Attack missed!
Several times in a row. If things like that happen where it isn't my bad playing, then I will revive. But in general, I dislike using them. Mind you, I dislike starting back from the Pokémon Center more.
