Okay....Well I know many people now have missions, riddles, and raffles and such on their User Pages, but recently, our server has been REALLY, REALLY, SLOW. Both I, and TTEchidna who I have been talking to, have reached a conclusion that this User Entertainment Project is to blame. Though I also am in the Entertainment Project, I have recently been thinking that this is to blame and there should be a policy AGAINST IT. Yes, I know many users do not like this idea and probably want to strangle me, think logically about this issue. Please post your ideas Thank you.

Hmm.. you're right. Actually, I think maybe I should clean out my userpage. Wonder if I can run a quick search having 'User:TinaTheKirlia/' in it, and maybe something'll pop up.

I do believe that the missions have to do with it, though. That, and people with mass amounts of the riddles (*coughs a little, but I don't think they go here*) usually have very long talk pages, and thus.. yeah.

I'll do something to my page soon, though. I know it's rather massive. XD;

While it is true that the server load has been heavy lately, it is unlikely that one single scapegoat is to blame.

That said, I agree with the motion to get rid of all the fluff in userspace.

Well, I actually just lost all connection to Bulbapedia for a few minutes.....

I haven't actually been having any problems, so I don't know what's going on there.

However, I do agree that some people have far too much "stuff" on their userpages.

We do need a policy on user pages and personal fan material uploaded to the Archives. It seems like people are starting to upload their own art and graphics on our server space.

I think it's simple enough: if it doesn't show up linked or used in any Bulbawiki project, it can be deleted.

I think what Zhen, means is that if it doesn't show up anywhere, repeat ANYWHERE on the site, then it goes byebye. Or if no one has any way to get to the pictures without typing the name. It goes byebye also. Any simpler?

Images that aren't actually used on the site are deletion fodder. Perhaps that's simpler?
We probably have a bunch of images that aren't used anywhere on the site; sometimes they get outdated, replaced, so on. Dunno how often the archives are cleared of unused images, but little things like that make a big difference in server speed.

Is there even a way to check what images aren't in use without manually searching for individual images on Bulbapedia and Bulbanews?

Um, what is this "user page" and how does one get one?

Is this like an entry for yourself? I was considering putting one of my own in, but I don't know if that's a mod-only thing or what...

There is a built-in feature but it only checks within a single wiki. It would require somewhat more effort to write a tool to take into consideration all the wikis.

Basically if you sign up on BP, you can get your own page to put stuff about yourself and other crap.

Bulbapedia is usually really slow for me, and it often doesn't even load.

I really like them, but, yeah, loading as been really slow lately. Maybe, we keep them, BUT we have them so that only one at a time. You know. One member puts up a mission. Then puts it down. And then another member puts his up... etc. etc.

Or, you know, you could just stop doing it altogether. Bulbapedia isn't a game-hosting site.
