User levels?

I've seen this on other forums, and I thought it looked good.
There is a bar underneath the Avatar which proclaims your level, which changes with post count. For instance, 0-10 posts- Noob. 10-50 posts- Beginner, 50-100 posts- Familiar, 100-250 Regular, 250-500- Expert, etcetera etcetera, new title for every 1000 or so. I think it would be a good way to subconciousley get users to post more regularly.

So what's the verdict?

I don't think it's an awful idea, but custom usertitles work fine here. User levels often just seem to try and encourage people to post and post for no reason to get a higher postcount.

I think it's a wonderful idea since post count is the most important thing in the universe.

Yes, this forum does have the structure to do that, but it's been disabled to give users the ability to have custom user titles. I do believe it's one or the other. Can't have both.
