User Ranks

I've noticed that some people have small icons on top on their avatar. There's a Misty, Ash and a Poké-Peace one. I realized they were ranks through a post by Archaic. So what are these ranks, and how would a normal user like me try and get one?

EDIT: Right.. they are not ranks..... hehehe

They're not ranks, they're "Public user groups".

If you go you your User CP; Group Memberships; Pick a group and sign up! Most of them are obvious, i.e. Team Rocket are the R, Ash is Ash .etc.
