Using an American theme song in episode...opinions?

I was watching O're the Rampardos We Watched and I almost laughed when all of a sudden they started playing a sped up version of the Diamond and Pearl theme song...I don't know why I thought it was so funny, maybe because I wasn't expecting it because "rap" was the last type of music I would think to accompany an intense battle scene or maybe because it was sped up! So, what was your opinion on using the theme song within the episode?

That's because that particular song is terrible.

When the previous openings are played at the start of the movies for example, (all of them were with the exception of Battle Frontier, because I know Advanced Battle was played at the start of Lucario), they all sound very good.

Movies 1-4 actually had remixes of them.

As for episodes, openings used to be played during important events (Butterfree leaves, Ash loses to Richie in Pokemon League, Charizard obeys Ash for the first time)...

Yeah, it's just PUSA era openings being horrible.

"Battle Frontier" isn't that bad, especially in comparison to it's successor.
