Using Medical Terminology in my fanfic

Lately in my fanfics where a character like Arceus is in the hospital, I tend to try and use medical terms. I plan to write out a medical record in one of the chapters. Should I try to define them for readers who may not even know these terms? I am in training to be a Veterinary Technician, so you can expect me to use these terms for here on out. So what should I do?
 
Defining them in the author's notes is okay but make sure they actually serve a role in the story/world building. Don't put the terms in just because you can.
