This has been remastered to fit with the new idea I have in mind.

Vanguard Academia. A non-Pokemon style academy RP. The world of Vanguard Academia revolves around the titular bastion and the student's adventures. There are many forces within Vanguard, ranging on both sides of the morality scale. From magic to mythologies to demons, nothing is impossible in this grand universe.

In a world of limitless possibility, love and loss, creation and destruction, and most of all; light and darkness, the only thing stopping you is you, yourself. You, a personification of uniqueness, are the soul of this school.

In the bright of the morning, a black winged creature swooped down; perching on windows of all of the children that would turn to stare inquisitively. It its beak was a scroll.

Vanguard Academia - Layout and Scaling
Vanguard Academia is an absolute behemoth of a structure. The sheer size, itself, is what has made the school a primary mark of interest for many who wish to attend it. With 15 floors, complete with an underlying portion under the school, long since locked away from the general student body, the entire environment is capable of keeping students locked away in its doors.

In length, the school ranges nearly two and a half city blocks, which is about 400 feet in length. The average amount of time needed to walk through a hallway ranges from 30 seconds to a minute, depending on how slow the person is. In height, the school is nearly a tower; being over 600 feet in height, with each of the halls being 42 feet tall. There are porcelain and marble floors, various staircases, and over 80 classrooms; made for optimal student co-activity. The width of the main building is about 200 feet. Therefore, the scaling for any three-dimensional model of Vanguard Academia is 400 x 600 x 200.

On the outside of the school is a large wide-open field, called the Lyusian Fields. These fields extend for nearly 90 miles all around the school, itself. The fields are one of the most dangerous places to be, as it is filled with many different creatures and beings that are never to be fought by the student body.

The transportation to and from the school is made via a sophisticated transit system called the SkyRails, which are amplified bullet trains powered on magic-filled ghostly tracks. The trains have a barrier and cushion system that allows them to keep a steady pace of over 300 MPH, while keeping the train from rattling due to wind pressure. This ensures that people are picked up from their locations, capable of making it to the school in only two hour's time; with the comfort of being able to relax on the rails.

There are four coalitions, which serve as the dormitories of the school. These coalitions are located on different portions of the campus. Each of the dormitories are nearly four stories, and are 50 feet in length, 60 feet in height, and 100 feet in width. Look to the Coalitions section for more information.


Vanguard Academia - Creatures
Tamed
Tamed creatures are those that are trained to coexist with people. They are, normally, non-volatile and capable of being handled by those who have them. These creatures have varying levels of strength, but tend to be weaker than most of the higher classes of Feral.

Feral
A Feral creature is a creature that is completely untamed. They live almost exclusively in the Lyusian Fields, where they roam freely. All Feral that come within 20 miles of the school are immediately captured and/or terminated on sight, so as to prevent them from attacking students. They usually range from different levels of volatility, but they're all dangerous in their own ways. Feral are never to be brought into the school without the consent of the Animal and Wildlife Research Department of Vanguard Academia. The strength and danger of a Feral is labelled by its energy signature, which can be seen by use of special tracking magic. Only those who wish to gain this magic can see energy levels.
  • Blue Feral - Lowest level. They are non-volatile, weak creatures.
  • Green Feral - Second lowest level. They tend to be passive-aggressive creatures, only attacking once they are disturbed.
  • Gold Feral - The middle level. They begin to be volatile around this level, only attacking once their territory is invaded.
  • Red Feral - Second highest level. They are fairly volatile by this point. They attack normally once their territories are invaded or if they have become hungry.
  • White Feral - The highest level. These are extremely powerful creatures that tend to be extensively violent. They are very prone to attacking upon seeing a target, and are sometimes relentless in their pursuit. They are rare only to the farthest parts of the Lyusian Fields, going towards the Ring of Fire.

Guardians
Special creatures that reside in the Vanguard Campus and the Lyusian Fields. They are powerful White Feral-level creatures with links to the coalitions, themselves. These creatures are the Black Dragon, Volcano Lion, Forest Basilisk, and Cloud Hawk. Currently having no names, they watch over the student body and work to make sure none of them are harmed. Though there can be some that take the creatures with them, this is a highly unlikely event.

Sentinels
The sentinels are man-made creatures that watch over the students along with the Guardians. They are 30 foot tall, animated marble statues that attack with various weapons. The different sentinels range from the Archer, Knight, and Blaster Sentinels. The first of which uses bows and arrows, the second uses a sword and shield, while the final utilizes cannons. These sentinels are incredibly tough to destroy with magic, due to being powered by magic-resistant runes. The only known way to defeat them is through the use of forbidden magic.

Hellbeasts
A special breed of creature, which are wrought from Hell itself. They are many times more powerful than a Feral, and are always volatile and quite deadly. They range in many sizes, which denotes their power. The smallest have been recorded to being under one foot, while the tallest have been shown as towering over 150 feet in height. However, there is proof of many existing that are much taller. They are the rarest form of creature, and are not capable of being in existence without a Hell Gate being opened.



Vanguard Academia - Coalitions
The coalitions will be chosen during RP. However, each coalition ranges from the four houses: Panthera, Aves, Serpenta, and Draconea. Each of the houses are located in different parts of the campus, each having their own dormitories with them. The dormitories have the insignia of the houses on them, each representing the animal that guards them.

Draconea: Students that are headstrong and fierce in nature are sent here.
Serpenta: Students with advanced cunning and versatility are sent here.
Aves: Students with overflowing ambition and unpredictability are sent here.
Panthera: Students with a watchful eye and fierce determination are sent here.

Draconea is located North of the main building, Serpenta is located South of the main building, Aves is located East of the main building, and Panthera is located West of the main building.


Vanguard Academia - Rules of the School
  1. No student is allowed to go past the boundary of the Lyusian Fields without an escort party.
  2. No student is allowed to venture into places labelled "PROHIBITED".
  3. Forbidden magic is not allowed to be practiced at any point.
  4. No student is allowed to harm or kill another student, staff, or animal.
  5. No fighting is allowed without due process.
  6. Creatures, without the permission of the Animal and Wildlife Research Department, are unable to be brought onto school grounds.
  7. Respect the staff at all times.
  8. No one is allowed outside of their dormitories after 10 o' clock at night.



Vanguard Academia - Tome of Forbidden Magic
Here are the types of magic that are incapable of being used on the campus of Vanguard. Conversely, these are also the abilities that one is not capable of starting out with. There is no exception to this rule.

Resurrection or Creation of Life - Embodies the resurrection of the dead or creating life, sentient or otherwise.

Summoning of Transcendent Beings or Objects - Embodies the use of summoning magic to bring forth gods, demigods, or god items/objects.

Death Magic - Embodies the ability to instantly cause death, as well the ability to absorb/steal souls/abilities.

Hypnosis - Embodies the ability to hypnotize others, whether it be partial or complete hypnosis.

Total Magical Bypassing - Embodies the ability to completely bypass all magic barriers or blocking techniques.

Interdimensional Teleportation - Embodies the ability to be able to teleport through dimensions.

Reality/Fate Warping - Embodies all forms of Time, Space, or Antimatter/Fate power; no matter how small or what the drawback is.

Extra-Existence or Transcendence - Embodies the ability to turn the body invincible, or to become any form of god or transcended being.'

Total Elemental Control - Embodies the ability to be capable of using all forms of elements, including the main elements. It also includes having absolute control over things in nature.

Ability Absorption/Copying - Embodies the ability to copy, steal, absorb, or otherwise mimic any form of magic from another without studying or having the innate ability to do so.

Immortality, Agelessness, Deathlessness - Embodies the ability to transcend death, or otherwise never die.


Vanguard Academia - Teachings and Lessons
The Vanguard Academy teaching system is a revolutionary new system called the Pace Learner's Ire, or PLI.

In the PLI system, the student is sent to a classroom which lacks a teacher. The reason for this? To add a teacher would be to force the student to learn at a pace that the teacher chooses. With this in mind, each class is guarded by a Cardinal Virtue; an angelic being that watches over the students. This is to maximize the amount of security in each classroom. These Cardinal Virtues are powerful, ascended Sentinels that react to any mishaps that may happen within the classroom.

Every classroom has a tome, paper, etc, located on the desks. These are provided by the Head of the Academy, who oversees all actions within the academy's doors, and outside into the Lyusian Fields. Students are to learn at their own pace; whether they wish to spend their time in class goofing off or simply reading and learning is up to them. Assessments come up later on, which will determine how much the student has retained.

So long as the student does not cause major disruptions in class, such as destroying things or breaking any school rules, will the Cardinal Virtue not take action. They will remain quiet. Silent. Watchful, but kind. Strict, but caring.


Vanguard Academia - Student Rankings
Vanguard has a system for ranking students based on their power. These students are tested within the Infinity Dome, which is a large structure made with powerful illusion magic that simulates an entire location. During this time, the students are made to complete a simple task: you must simply get from one part of the entire field to another. Based on how well they perform, the students are capable of getting a ranking.

White Ranking: The highest level of Vanguard Students. These students are those who display the best prowess, as well as sporting the best grades. They are normally chosen to head and lead projects with the school.
Silver Ranking: The second highest level of Vanguard Students.
Red Ranking: The middle ranking of Vanguard Students.
Blue Ranking: The second lowest ranking of Vanguard Students.
Black Ranking: The lowest ranking of Vanguard Students. These students show little to no initiative, and normally have below average grades.

Rules of the RP
  • No godmoddng. This includes being capable of solving problems easily, learning magic without a plausible excuse, and winning fights without any build-up.
  • No tennesing.
  • Nothing above PG-13. I'll definitely allow romance, but only to first base. Second base is very debatable. Ask if it is allowed before attempting it.
  • Respect your fellow players. Debates are fine. Outright inflammatory remarks and such are not allowed. Basic BMGf rules still apply, here.
  • This can be lighthearted, but not to the point of randomness. Serious situations are numerous in this.
  • No need to rush. Seriously, we're here to have fun. There's absolutely no need for you to rush a fight or scene. The best fights are those with very moderate lengths; not too short, but not too lengthy. Time skips will happen if something is not capable of being done.

Name: Will Akabara
Gender: Male
Age: 14
Sexuality: Bisexual

Personality: Will is a spunky guy who likes to crack a joke occasionally, he mischevious and and silly, and tends to prefer hands on challenges instead of book learning, but excels at both, usually getting high marks. Despite his nature of being scatter brained and silly, he can be really cunning and resourceful when needed, and will protect his friends with an unyielding will. He also can't stand it when the people he cares about start to fight. He'll stop at nothing to try and stop these fights.

Appearance: Will stands at 5,7 and weighs 125 lbs, making him very slender. He has pale skin with straight black hair and bright blue eyes which sparkle like saphires. Will wears a black cloak which often billows behind him like a cape. He also wears a white long sleeved coller'd shirt with a black vest over it with matching trousers and black shoes. He also carries a small skeleton key with a star at the handle. It morphs into a blue staff that's almost as tall as Will, it has a bright yellow star at the end with a white circle incasing it.

History: Will comes from a middle class family with an average backround, nothing special about it. For his 13th birthday, he was given a key that did not unlock anything, to him it was useless. But when a monter attacked his home and murdered his parents, that key morphed into his staff which acted on it's own accord to slay the monster. Having got a better idea on how to use the staff, he decided to call it Artemis. After a year, he had received a letter from Vangaurd accepting him. Will decided to join in order to hone his abilities.

Abilities: Using Artemis, Will can create matter along with destroy the matter that he destroyed. He often uses this to attack foes with projectiles or change the form of Artemis into a weapon like a sword, hammer, scythe, etc.

- Advantages: This gives Will a lot of versitility, and makes him a hard foe to beat in battle. He has one ability that turns Artemis into a Laser Cannon, but while powerful, it uses so much of his strength that he passes out. Artemis is somewhat sentinent in that it will only grant it's power to Will, and Will only. It will turn into it's key form if anyone else tries to wield it, making it it useless until used by Will.
- Disadvantages: There are limits to Artemis, Artemis can't create matter that is organic or living, and he can't create anything larger then a wrecking ball. The larger an object created, the more energy Will uses. This also goes for the quantity of things Will creates. If he exerts himself to much, he'll start coughing up blood and he won't be able to create matter. He also can't sleep or become distracted while creating matter, or it will vanish. Without Artemis, Will has no means of offense.

Weapon: Artemis (The staff mentioned above.)
Skills: Outside of magic, Will is a decent student and a good artist, being able to draw very well if he tries hard.

Name: Marley Walker
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Sexuality: Straight

Personality: Marley is a kind girl who gets flustered easily, she's fairly bubblely and tries to see the brightside of life, but watchout, this rose has some really sharp thorns. She has a horrible temper, and is unafraid to get violent if someone threatens her or her friends. Marley is very loyal to her friends, and seeing them hurt is like a blow to the heart for her. Marley also has a fondness for Candy, her favorite being Chocolate covered Cherries.

Appearance: Marely stands at 5,2 and weighs 105 lbs. She has pale skin with straight flowing auburn hair that she ties into two pig tails high up on the sides of her head with black ribbons ,and dark blue eyes. Marley wears a white tee shirt with a navy blue skirt that comes down to her mid thigh, with a pair of black high heeled boots with navy knee socks..

History: Marley comes from a slightly lower class family, her mother died at a young age from cancer. This warped her father a little in that he started to dress and act like a woman. (Probably to try and fill the void that was left by Marley's Mom's Death.) One day, Marley had been given a strange pair of boots by a stranger from school. These boots had a power that would only come into effect for her. Practicing with these boots, she decided to call them Thor. It was a few months after that when she had received her letter for Vanguard. For some reason, her father thought it was an ordinary school and aloud her to attend.

Abilities: All of Marley's magical abilities are harness through her boots, Thor. Thor only becomes active after voice activation, and when it does. A green aura forms around her ankles.
- Advantages: Thor increases her overall leg strength, allowing her to run and jump with a lot of force. Being able to shatter large boulders 5 times her size with relative ease. By kicking and spinning, she can create strong gusts of wind and even twisters to hit her enemies. Thor even allows her to land from high falls without being injured. The best way to describe her abilities, is that she flies as gracefully as a dove, but can come down with the force of a wrecking ball.
- Disadvantages: Since Marley's abilities are mostly based on Agility, she has a hard time battling in enclosed areas.

Weapon: Her boots, Thor.
Skills: Marley is fairly physically fit, and does well in Phys ed, and she's a decent student when she studies hard. But Marley has a hard time with cooking and cleaning. (Her cooking can take out someone faster then her with Thor.)

Personality: John is kind, and tries to get on with people most of the time. He values integrity over subtleness and honour over survival. He has a fierce temper that is difficult to disturb. He is intelligent until his emotions take control, after which point he loses his rationality.

Appearance: Tall, at 6'3", and well built, he has a brown fringe and blue eyes. He doesn't care much for clothes and in his free time will usually wear just jeans and T-Shirt

History: Born to a middle class family, John grew up with a certain amount of innocence. When he started to grow up the innocence turned into his current integrity and sense of right and wrong.

Abilities: Use of magic (Fire and Wind magic ) and Animal Transformation (he can transform into a bear, a lion or a wolf)
- Advantages: Fighting becomes a major strength, and convenience.

-Disadvantages: He loses control of his powers when he becomes angry. Also, he feels hangover-like symptoms after using too much magic

Weapon: Axes, both throwing and combat
Skills: John has a powerful swing and throw, with an unnatural accuracy. Due to his strength he can move a hefty battleaxe quickly.

Gender: Female
Age: 15
Sexuality: Bisexual

Personality: Luna is very carefree, energetic, lively, and a tomboy. She will never back down, and she always acts before thinking twice. But, she is kind and courageous. She has a bit of a temper, and is rather playful. Luna scares people for fun, and plays a lot of elaborate jokes, although sometimes she takes them a little too far. Luna gets very aggressive if a friend is in trouble. Luna has a fondness for fizzy drinks.

Appearance: Luna is short, and stands at about 5 ft 1. She has shoulder length, choppy black hair and pale skin. Luna has very dark blue eyes, large glasses and usually wears a black batman shirt, baggy dark blue jeans and black sneakers.

History: Luna is the only child from an upper class family, with incredibly strict parents. Her parents forbade her from eating anything that was not organic, and she was not allowed to make her own friends; her parents forced her to befriend their work colleague’s children. After being stuck in an arranged marriage, she received the scroll from Vanguard Academia. She knew her parents would never allow her to attend, so she ran away from her overbearing parents.

Abilities: Luna can manipulate wind magic, and ice magic.
- Advantages: Luna can use air currents to push things away, and Luna’s Ice magic can be used to freeze things. Combining her two magical abilities can allow her to create hailstorms.
- Disadvantages: Luna has a hard time controlling hailstorms because it makes her use a lot of magic. Making hailstorms usually causes her to pass out. Luna cannot use ice magic on hot days.

Weapon: Luna has a ring that turns into a purple crystal sword in battle.
Skills: Luna is good at flying on a broomstick.
 
Name: Jean Kubin
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Sexuality: Bisexual

Personality: Jean is a fairly quiet young man, and somewhat nervous. He is eager to make friends, though, so he might come out of his shell if he likes someone. Despite this, he dislikes relying on others for support, although he is loyal to those he cares about. He's the kind of guy who dislikes relying on others, but will always try and help his friends. He has something of a thirst for power. He wants people to stop controlling his world so he can do it himself.
Appearance: Jean is about average height, at 5'11, and has pale skin. His face is constantly rosey coloured, as if he just came in from a very cold day. His hair is somewhat curly and black, and goes down to just below his ears. His eyes are a very pale blue, close to grey, and go well with his rectangular, silver-rimmed glasses. Jean's very slim, with a lanky body. His lack of muscle can be seen quite easily due to the fact he usually wears t-shirts, so he usually combines this with an aviator jacket. He usually wears cargo pants, which usually contain small objects he finds in the pockets.
History: Jean is actually the second child his parents had. He doesn't know it, but a year before him, his mother had a miscarriage. This led his parents to be very overbearing. It didn't help that one of the first times they let Jean go out on his own, at five, he fell off a slide and broke his arm. So his parents tried to stop him from leaving home outside of school. This meant he didn't get many friends, and he was picked on a lot at school.

This changed when he learned he could use magic. He was helping his mom bake some cake, when the dough turned into some sort of monster. He killed it with a spatula, and his parents forbid him from using magic again. However, he secretly kept practicing it. He recently ran away from home to enroll at Vanguard Academia.

Abilities: Jean's magic lets him summon two different minions. The first of which are floating hands with eyes on the palms, called Beholders. Vance can adjust the color and reflectivity of them any way he wants, and also make them very large, although bigger hands are more taxing as far as energy. The eyes can shoot out beams of chaos energy. They burn through larger objects, and can even make smaller objects like basketballs and rabbits explode. The beams also bounce off reflective surfaces.

The second of his minions are vetala. They're shaped vaguely like humans, but it's very obvious they aren't. Their arms are longer and much thinner, and end in sharp claws. Their skin is dark purple and totally hairless. Their heads are fairly large relative to their bodies, and have only green eyes, two nostrils, and a large mouth full of sharp teeth on them.

To make them, Jean needs to pour material that was once living on any material that's no longer living, be it dirt, stone, wood, or corned beef hash. As soon as he does, a vetala will spring from it. It's size depends on how much of whatever material he poured in addition to the base material. Vetala are fairly agile, and while not particularly strong, they have sharp claws and a nasty bite. And depending on the material he made them out of, they can be fairly durable. JEan can also graft them onto his body, in which case they become serpents protruding from his flesh.

It should be noted that neither of these are the creation of life. Jean is simply animating air (In the case of his beholders) and solid matter (In the case of his vetala.) They can't think for themselves. They only do what Jean tells them to.

- Advantages: The beholder eye beams are fairly strong. They can burn a hole in human flesh fairly easily, and travel fairly fast. They can also float around fairly quickly, and lift small objects. Meanwhile, the vetala can move fairly quickly, their bites and scratches are painful, and Jean can usually create them en masse, or make one very large one. He can also use them to defend himself, parrying attacks with snakes coming out of his body, or use them as weapons. Finally, even if they are mindless, this does not mean they are stupid. They can follow orders that Jean gives them mentally, and are fairly good at doing so. They can solve simple logical problems, such as basic arithmetic and smaller jigsaw puzzles as well.

- Disadvantages: The beholder's beams need about a second to charge up, so they can be fairly easy to dodge if you're paying attention. They also deflate if punctured, leaking out a black smoke. The vetala, meanwhile, have no supernatural powers: Their main strength is their claws, teeth, and the numbers in which Jean can make them. Also, their durability is dependent on whatever Jean makes them from. Ones made of metal will usually be quite tough; Ones made of clay, not so much.

He also needs some form of once-living material to make them. To make a vetala the size of a cat takes about a teaspoon. One the size of a medium dog will take about two tablespoons. And one the size of a human takes about a gallon. If J grafts a vetala onto himself, it will weigh him down. He can't fight very well with four seven-foot long steel snakes jutting out of his back. Finally, while his minions can follow orders, and solve logical problems, they are creatively bankrupt. As such, if Vance orders him to do anything that requires lots of creativity, such as painting a picture or convincing people to vote for him as class president, they will usually fail horribly, and occasionally crumble into dust.

Weapon: Jean uses martial arts combined with serpents he grafts on to his body. He also carries a bottle with a pint full of crushed, dried leaves with him so he can create Vetala.
Skills: Jean knows some martial arts, and he's also got excellent penmanship.

Sign-ups are going so much faster than I could've possibly imagined. And because I like to start small, I'll be creating my character and making the start-up soon. Maybe later on tonight or some time tomorrow. Anyone is capable of joining the RP after it starts. After a maximum of... hmm... at least 12 characters, I'm closing all Sign-Ups.

Personality
Lucille, often called Lucy, is the headmistress of the Vanguard. She has a noticeably serious, but rather lenient outlook on how the school should be run. No matter the problem, she always wants it to be resolved effectively. Violence is never her first reaction, but she will most definitely resort to it if the situation calls for it. Lucille, despite her young age, has a very large sense of responsibility that stems from her position. As such, she has entrusted the safety of the entire school's sanctity on herself. Many often call her scary and anti-social, but deep down she feels as though that the entire fate of the school rests in her hands. Due to this, any mistake made by her will take its toll on her happiness.

Appearance
Picture Reference. Lucille is a very beautiful woman, being up to 5'7" in height and having curvature in all of the correct places. While thin due to training herself, she is not very muscular; thus, her overall strength level is not up to par with many teachers. She has long, silvery-blonde hair cascading in a waterfall down her back, with sapphire blue eyes.

Abilities: Lucille has the ability of Celestial Control, which allows her to utilize the abilities of space or spacial objects. These include the ability to increase her strength to mirror that of meteors crashing to the surface of the planet, drawing power and energy from the moon, using techniques that embody the sun's power, and even going as far as to summon meteors to rain from the sky.
- Advantages: Lucille has an astronomically large amount of control when it comes to these abilities. She is capable of using this technique to her fullest potential, but usually with incredibly disastrous results.
- Disadvantages: When using the techniques to their fullest potential, she tends to destroy more things than necessary. With this in mind, she will normally hold back; which can - and has - ended tragically for those around her.

Skills
Lucille is a combat master. She is a master tactician and magic-user, as well as being skilled in hand-to-hand and weaponry combat.

Gender: Male
Age: 18
Sexuality: Straight

Personality: A calm and reserved person at first glance, and is surprisingly
level-headed and mature though a bit quiet at times. However, he is very compassionate
and kind-hearted towards others, whether they be human or not, and does his best to
show respect..as long he feels the person deserves his respect and doesn't misuse it. Not too fond of taking orders
though he will make an exception if innocent lives are involved. Despite not being the most
social kind of person, due to his brain partly, he does his best to make friends and will stand up
in the defense of other folks. Though by taking the burdens of others on himself, he sometimes
gets stressed badly.

Appearance: Stands about 5 foot, 11 inches in height with fair skin but with a very slight
tan, dark green eyes, short brown-black hair. His physique is standard but with a slight pudge
though that could be muscle, still very healthy. Typically wears clothing of a darker shade such
as a navy blue t-shirt, black cargo pants, dark brown shoes and a black and blue jacket with the
symbol of a bird in flight on its back. On his wrist is a bracelet of a black and blue dragon eating
its own tail named Ouroboros.


History: James was just an ordinary child living with his parents in a modest town. He didn't
have many friends growing up, mostly due to his love of literature and video games, while most of the other kids
enjoyed rough-housing and doing full-contact sports. He didn't mind too much, or at least he didn't
make it known, not wanting people to worry over him most likely.

He was an excellent student in school, although on more than one occasion, people took advantage of
his intelligence under the pretense of being "friends". This is only one of the reasons he became a bit
withdrawn from making friends...though he still held out hope of meeting them one day.

Although his parents loved him dearly, they fought and argued very often, even getting physical at
times. Even if they never lashed out at him, they realized the effect it had on him so they typically sent
him to be with his Aunt Irene until things calmed down again.

During one of his trips, terrible news reached him: His parents had died in a hit-and-run incident. The
criminals had been caught...but the damage was already done. The young man was heartbroken and left
in a state of depression...if not for his Aunt he may've succumbed to it altogether.

A year or two passed and James,mostly,recovered. One day, while out exploring the hills behind his Aunt's
cottage, he fell down into a deep cave and inside found a mysterious dragon-shaped bracelet. Taking it with
him, he returned home. However, soon after, a monstrous troll-like monster awoke from beneath the hills and
attacked his Aunt's cottage.

Wishing to save his aunt, James jumped in only for the bracelet to activate and bond with him, becoming a
device similar to a gauntlet and an armguard. The device gave him the power to manipulate pure energy and he was able
to defeat the troll and save his aunt. Soon after, the device revealed its name as Ouroboros, or just Oura,
and accepted James as its master. Not long after, an invite to to Vanguard came and, feeling this would help
him find his place in the world, his Aunt wished him well and allowed him to go.



Abilities: Using Ouroboros, James is able to manipulate pure energy, such as the energy in his body, to do
a variety of things. Such as increase his performance, unleash deadly beams/waves/orbs/etc, absorb energy,
create barriers, along with other things he has yet to discover.

- Advantages: He had fluid control over the energy, and thus the only limitations on it is power and sheer
imagination. Due to the versatility of energy manipulation, he can adapt to many situations and is thus a force
to be reckoned with.
- Disadvantages: He can only do so many things at a time. Plus, since the energy is freely open, it's prone
to corruption.

Weapon: Ouroboros, whose energy can be focused to deliver incredibly deadly punches and can morph into
a bow form to fire long-range energy arrows.

Skills: Being imaginative, knowledgeable, able to help people with a range of problems. Also, quite a good cook.

Personality
Demi is a very mysterious figure. Never speaking unless spoken to, he tends to keep all thing under wraps; showing emotion only through the eyes. Though evidently very cold, Demi is always extremely caring when around those who could be considered weak. With tracker instincts and reflexes, he is something akin to a ninja. However, there is no evidence of any ability to augment the body, as all acrobatic ability was trained from a very young age.

Appearance
Demi usually wears clothing that does not expose much. Due to only speaking in a series of small sounds, his true voice is not very heard of. However, when around those whom are trusted, Demi will speak. He has silvery-blonde hair that goes down to the base of the neck, with piercing emerald green eyes. He does not wear a scowl, but rather preferring to stay a bit emotionless when in front of others. While of slightly average height, being around 5'6", he is capable of powerful combat.

History

Abilities: Demi has the ability of advanced pyrokinesis. That being, he is capable of controlling fire to near limitless amounts. However, the power and size of the attacks he does drains more energy the larger they are.
- Advantages: Unlike others who have learned more than two elements, Demi is a master of his single element. His flames are incredibly powerful, and controllable to only the extent of his emotions.
- Disadvantages: Demi has a short temper, despite being calm. This is why he retains his emotionless stance on things. If he were to ever lose control, he would most likely harm or kill others in his way.

Weapon: Hand-to-hand combat.
Skills: Demi is very good at retaining himself in otherwise frightening times. He is also a very skilled hand-to-hand fighter, as well as knowing a very good bit of freerunning due to his training.

Personality
Silver is a very smooth person in general. Usually never without tact and serenity, he is easily one of the calmer members of the school. A hard worker and natural overachiever, Silver fought tooth and nail to gain the position that he has, today. Unlike those around him, Silver never underestimates others when in a fight. He is always prepared for the worst possible outcome; which usually leaves him a bit "over-prepared" at times. He shows an incredible amount of respect for his opponents, never wishing to down other's abilities; no matter how outlandish or evil. However, he is shown to have a deep resolve - one dark enough to be hidden in the shadows. He often avoids questions about his upbringing and past.

Appearance
Silver is a tall boy, standing at nearly 6'1" in height. With aptly named silver-colored hair, emerald eyes, and a near serene look of cool aloofness on his face; he is considered rather handsome by the female persuasion. His build is a bit thin, with muscle packed in. He is lighter than many males in the school, though this is only due to his light eating. For this reason, he tends to snack during the day to keep his strength up.

Abilities: Light Manipulation; or the ability to control light: electromagnetic radiation that is visible to the human eye and which is emitted and absorbed in tiny "packets" called photons. Can generate, bend, shift, focus, scatter and generally manipulate light to various degrees and effects; such as using it to blind, using it as a barrier, firing it as beams/blasts, etc.
- Advantages: Silver has an incredible amount of control with the ability, and it is - in general - very easy to use once the process of gaining light works.
- Disadvantages: Silver needs at least a bit of light to even use his powers to a much more downgraded degree. With this in mind, he has been working on various ways to increase his proficiency; such as holding pendants that shine light, using reflective mirrors, etc.

Weapon
His most powerful technique, the Sun God Armor, which gives him the advanced control over light and brings out his power to its fullest extent. Picture Reference.

Skills
Out of all of the current student body, Silver stands as the strongest practitioner of magic. Although his grades are only second-best, falling behind one other student, he is the most powerful magic-user in terms of sheer strength and dexterity.

Name: Samuel (Sam) Strike
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Sexuality: heterosexual

Appearance: Sam has spiked black hair that goes down to his ear, he has a pair of brown coloured eyes that show a clear coldness and the mentality to win. He has tanned coloured skin along with a scar along the right side of his neck. He has an athletic built and always wears a suit with weights around his waist as well as wearing some weights around his wrists and ankle. He usually wears formal clothing, having a blue coloured jacket with a white shirt underneath it along with a pair of black pants. He always carries a metal flask attached to his waist.

Personality: Sam is calm and collected, if a bit harsh at times. He's not one to joke around and likes to do everything by the book. A simple description of him would be someone blessed with talent, having control of his ability since a young age he was always good in physical and magical training, thus earning him praise from his family and friends. Unfortunately Sam never takes the praise seriously as he himself doesn't think he's good enough, which is part of the reason why he wanted to attend the academy. Sam is however, protective of his little brother Leo who he always helps out and tries to make him strive harder.

Abilities: Sam can control gravity completely, through this he is able to make things float or smash them against the floor, he can also increase or decrease the force of objects or people as well as adding pressure. Thanks to his control of gravity he can also cut surfaces or smash them, giving him a lot of versatility.

Weaknesses: While he is able to make things float his gravity can be countered with magnetism and they can also be pulled back. Using his ability also takes a lot of strain on him and he needs to be focused when using it or else he could lose control of it, his strikes are also easy to dodge as they are pretty straightforward.

Weapon: Sam's flask contains special acid that can melt anything that it touches, through this he can control the acid and change its shape as well as use it in different forms, he is able to recreate the same amount of acid through a spell he devised but it takes him a week to prepare and gather the ingredients.

Skill: Sam is very handy and can use his ability in different ways, he's also strong and fast due to all the time he has spent with the weights, something that also increased his physical endurance. He's calculating and calm as well as having a good sense of leadership.


Name: Leonardo (Leo) Strike
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Sexuality: heterosexual

Appearance: Leo has straight long coloured brown hair which reaches down to his neck. He, like his brother, has brown coloured eyes, though unlike his brothers they are more of a clear brown. Leo has tanned coloured skin and a thin built. He wears a black coloured long sleeved shirt along with a white shirt over it, the white shirt in turn has short sleeves. He also wears a pair of black coloured jeans that hug his legs along with a pair of sneakers. He carries a wooden staff on strapped to his back.

Personality: Leo is shy and doesn't have a lot of confidence in himself or his abilities. Unlike his brother he is more of a follower and tends to always stand by his side in case he needs help. He is a bit jealous of his brother's talent and about how everyone treats him and feels like he'll never be able to achieve the same things he has. While he knows a few spells of his own he's not able to perform as well as his brother though, but he always tries his hardest to support him, thinking that if he can at least help him get far in the world then he'll have no regrets.

Abilities: Leo has an affinity towards the elements of wind and electricity, he can control them basically but usually relies on spells so as to harness their power more.

Advantages: Leo can control and shift the wind of the area around him without using spells, he is also able to fire shocks of electricity.

Weaknesses: Leo's basic control is very weak and as thus he needs to rely on his spells which he needs to chant, he is also only good with a few attack spells which are still at a pretty basic level, because of this he is unable to stand in front of a battlefield as it would make him an easy target, thus making him a support fighter.

Weapon: He can use his staff along with wind magic to levitate himself off the ground and fly or he can incorporate electricity around the staff and use it as a weapon in battle, the staff itself is made of magical wood which is much harder than normal wood so it isn't as easy to break.

Skill: he's a hardworker and he has a group mentality, always thinking about how his actions would benefit others rather than himself, he is clever but it's countered due to his laziness
