VG Weekly Poll #10 Primary, Secondary or Tertiary Version?

Welcome to the tenth installment in the Video Games Forum's new weekly series of polls!

Centered around the Pokemon series of video games, these polls will be based on the various different aspects of the popular video game franchise. Every Monday, a Video Games staff member will post a new poll that'll remained stickied up on top of the forum. Suggestions for polls and questions can be sent to Joshawott, and they could possibly used for new polls (credit will be given, of course).

With that out of the way, here is the poll: Do you buy the 'primary' or 'secondary' version of a pair, or do you wait for the third version? The 'primary' version being the first in a pair name (such as Red is the primary version of Red & Blue), and the 'secondary' obviously being the other one.

I usually start with the primary, but at some later point I end up with all three. Ahh the life of a pokenerd....

I get the whichever of the two has better exclusive stuff, and the tertiary version later when it comes out.

It doesn't matter to me anymore, because I'm collecting every version.

I picked the Primary, because that is what I first buy. After beating it and a having a lot of progress in it, I decide that I don't want to restart it and experience the story again, so I buy the Secondary version. I then buy the Third when it is released.

Depends on what you mean by primary/secondary/tertiary... but if I had to pick one, it'd be the tertiary version. But In general I usually get the secondary and tertiary versions.

third versions. They are always the best and have a lot of stuff to do.

I coordinate with my cousin or friends when picking a version so that we could easily get all Pokemon in said versions... Whoever buys Version 1 or 2 first, the second person would buy the counter part version of the person who first bought the first version...

I always get primary or secondary and tertiary.

I get the primary, and my brother and sister get the secondry. We then all get the tertiary version when it comes out.

Depends on the exclusives. Though I usually end up with the secondary versions.

Depends on what exclusive stuff is in there. If I had a choice between just the three, I'd pick the tertiary though.

I can't really choose anything, because I buy the primary version when each generation starts, and then the tertiary version when it comes later on (eg. Diamond then Platinum, and soon, Black then Grey). Though I didn't do it with Gen III as me and my brother started in mid- Gen III so we never got RS but we got LG and E.

I usually just get either the Primary or the Secondary version (doesn't really matter which one to me) and then the Tertiary.

I buy all 3. my habit is I buy both First and Secondary versions and then Third Version, because I like to collect the games and have all 3 so I can trade between them and have more games to hoard event Pokemon with.

Voted for doesn't really matter, because that's where I'm leaning now. Before, I always got the third version, but now I'm impatient, so I snatched up Pearl & Platinum, & I've got White and I'll be getting the third version.

Third is officially my tradition now. My first game was Yellow, a gift from a cousin, then one of my friends traded his Crystal game for some of my gb games. Afterwards I wanted to try out genIII and only managed to find Emerald, then I bought Platinum as it looked coolest, and thus I am still waiting....
