Happy New Year Everynyan! Welcome to the twenty-second instalment in the Video Games Forum's new weekly series of polls!

Centered around the Pokemon series of video games, these polls will be based on the various different aspects of the popular video game franchise. Every Monday, a Video Games staff member will post a new poll that'll remained stickied up on top of the forum. Sad i'm getting exited for first post.

Galactic, cause they came so close, and had the evillest intentions, and Cipher.
 
Cipher, because I like how every admin has their own job (at least in Colosseum). Ein works on the shadow pokémon in the shadow lab, then transports them to Venus who rules the Under, while she on her turn gives the pokémon to Miror B. who awards them to winners of the Pyrite colosseum spreading Shadow Pokémon in Orre this way. Dakim seems to be used mainly to threaten people, and Nascour is the spokesperson / sort of boss of the team.

I also like the Ranger villain teams, because they always have the trademark idiotic grunts. I like Go-rock Squad the best out of that one because of the battle music they have (and the quads are cool).

As for the main games, I like Team Aqua the most because of the designs, music and notable members.
 
Team Rocket are my favourite villainous team because I have the best memories of Gen 1 battling them and defeating the leader Giovanni at his gym.
 
I like them all, so I'll just rank them

1. Team Plasma - MY FAV - they don't have executives or higher-ups that you have to fight, only grunts, so it getting rid of Team Plasma members were pretty easy (apart from Ghetsis, the Sages don't fight). Also, N was a very unique boss along with Ghetsis. Both had excellent back stories AND personalities AND pokemon teams that made me struggle so much. They also got this cool castle, although I wish there had been more to it. My fav villain team because of N and the story XDD

2. Team Rocket - this is mostly because of HGSS bringing in the existance of the four Executives XDD I loved all four of them - they got a lot of character, but I wish they had better pokemon cuz Proton had a weaker team than his grunts in the Slowpoke well, not to mention Petrel having a whole family of koffings -.- Proton's another one of my fav villain, second to N LOLZ I liked them taking over the radio tower, but it would've been better if they had more post-game stuff - I feel Archer got less spotlight than he should've gotten, being the leader of the Executives and all.

3. Team Galactic - I liked Mars, and the Commanders' double battle in Mt. Coronet. Cyrus was also a difficult boss, but I kinda disliked him

4. Team Aqua - Basically, they're the same as Team Magma, but I'm only giving it a higher rank cuz I like Shelly LOLZ

5. Team Magma - because I have no fav character here.
 
I choose Team Galactic because they came really colse and their boss was a real nutjob.
 
Hard choice.

Team Galactic, but basically for their leaders. I thought Cyrus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn were cool from the start in DP, and got even better with Charon's introduction in Platinum and more focus on Cyrus added. Also enjoyed them in the anime, Pokespecial and DPA. Plus their battle music is fantastic, and they got very close to their goal.

Cipher. Though mostly in Colosseum. Just enjoyed fighting them, and plus the admins, in particular Miror B were such great antagonists. Awesome boss fight in Pyrite Cave, and Ludicolo is one of my favourite Hoenn Pokemon. Plus even the peons and lowly scientists were more intelligent then your typical grunt with their methods.

Magma. I like these guys more than the Aquas, for their costumes, goals and Courtney/Maxie. I wish Courtney had been in Emerald, but she got to play a good role in Pokespecial and I thought her and Ruby made a great, if brief, team. Plus that tag match against Maxie and Tabitha in Mossdeep, setting a new staple for the franchise. If only the anime had treated them better. They appeared nice and early but ugh.
 
Team Plasma has an interesting goal, and N is just pure awesome. Cipher comes close, but unfortunately its not on the poll...well, I guess its kinda covered by the "Other" option.
 
It has to be Team Plasma; Team Rocket are too generic, and Magma, Aqua & Galactic's goals were a touch on the ridiculous side. Even though most of Plasma were lying, their goals offered an interesting second opinion on the often questionable treatment of Pokemon. It was a very deceitful and cruel plan, but that's what made Ghetsis such a great villain and punching bag. He and N also had the best teams by far.
 
Team Plasma, as they're probably the most original villainous team Game Freak has created.
 
I can't choose between Plasma and Galactic. Team Plasma had the most interesting intentions and sweet uniforms, but Team Galactic had the evilest plans and a kickass battle theme. Team Magma would be second after, because I think their uniforms are cool, and I like Tabitha, even though his name is stupid...and feminine. I always thought, WTF. Why does such an attractive guy like him (he IS cute in the anime!) have such a stupid name?

Team Rocket and Team Aqua are bleh.

I voted for Plasma; if only I could vote for Galactic, too.
Cyrus made Galactic for me.
And for Plasma, I liked N. They were an interesting take on a villainous team; there was more creativity and less "cut and paste". But c'mon, Magma's music was something special. I loved fighting the grunts and bosses because of that.
 
Team Rocket is boring while team Aqua and Magma have really stupid goals.
I really like both Team Galactic and Team Plasma tbh. They have the best bosses and interesting goals. Anyway, I voted for Team Plasma because N was flawless! :D

Team Rocket, their goals were realistic and they filled the role of villainous team best. They didn't need to try and disguise themselves as something they weren't, and were generally disliked or feared by the general population. Giovanni is also one of my favorite characters from the series. Also, they didn't wear any outlandish costumes. I mean honestly, it's a bit hard to take someone seriously if they're dressed like a spaceman, pirate, etc...
 
Cipher is probably the better organized overall. They have the better scheme of using pokémon as death machines. Doesn't seem like much, but if Shadow Lugia experiment worked, they'd have done the same to other legendary pokémon and enough powerful normal ones to form an army and take over the world by force.
I think it's the best balance between how Team Rocket falls short with money yet the others rely on supernatural powers.

But, the best leader has to be Cyrus. He's a really interesting character. His reasoning makes sense, even though he's insane. I'd say N kinda looked like him in that they are both frustrated with how the world works and want it to be a better place, except N was pretty much a confused child (and puppet of someone who is just evil); Cyrus however had in mind all emotions, and figured that even if some are pleasant they can be dimissed as illusions when facing the real destruction the negative ones cause.

He's pretty much the ultimate cynic.

While not really a "Team" per-say, Cipher is my fav. Without taking fridge-logic into effect too heavily, they are the most "evil" just by description of what they do, and they have sweet sweet outfits <3
