Hello Everynyan! Welcome to the thirty-eighth instalment in the Video Games Forum's new weekly series of polls!

Centered around the Pokemon series of video games, these polls will be based on the various different aspects of the popular video game franchise. Every Monday, a Video Games staff member will post a new poll that'll remained stickied up on top of the forum. Suggestions for polls and questions can be sent to Joshawott or Zeb and they could possibly used for new polls (credit will be given, of course).

With that out of the way, here is the poll: Would you agree with paid downloadable content on Pokémon?. Now that the Nintendo 3DS (and Wii U) can accept paid downloadable content (granted that they are merely extras and not required for normal gameplay), it's become possible that a future Pokémon game could use paid downloadable content. Would you support such a feature, or not? (For the record, additional songs in Theatrhythm Final Fantasy only cost 150yen per song).

As long as Nintendo does not decides to play Crapcom or EA over us, I wouldn't mind paying for extra content.

Not for Event Pokemon but maybe somethings like scenarios/missions, extra areas, or costumes for players.

Challenge packs in the B2/W2 World Tournament. Something like downloading past Gym Leaders, Elite Four, Rivals, Villain Leaders, from all of the regions but as a pack instead of single.

I dunno, DLC would mean Gen VI may be the last gen because then GF will add new Pokemon via DLC without making another next-gen game.

I wouldn't mind it, as long as the quality was good and the pricing remained reasonable.

No. I already buy DLC for two other games. I don't want Pokemon to join the party. >_>

Knowing Nintendo, I'd probably have to fake my home country to download this stuff so... no.

Also, that AR searcher thing is kinda like a paid DLC, isn't it?

It would bug me, yes. But if it became a reality I wouldn't mind.

Not really. They could still start new games with entirely new regions and regional Pokédexes full of 100+ new Pokémon. I see it more as a way of them distributing mythical Pokémon without having them spoilt by being in the games' data to begin with.

They will still code event Pokemon into the game's data, only this time, it'll be for DLC purposes just other games like Call of Duty having DLC content added into them from the very beginning.

I wouldn't mind as long as it was extra, like some people said. If it interferred with the content of the regular game, it could spell the end of Pokemon as we know it, or all together.

Definitely not. When I have spent a lot of money buying a game already, I prefer all the content in the game to be readily available. The thought of Pokemon having such a thing terrifies me.

I'd rather have DLC "event" Pokemon that are always available than to miss out on an event and not be able to complete my Pokedex legitimately.

I agree with this.

But whether or not I'd mind paid DLC depends on what the DLC actually is. If it's something I think is worth paying for, of course I wouldn't mind. Otherwise, yes, I would mind terribly.

Sure, I would rather pay $10/15 for 3rd version content then to rebuy the whole game again for full price.
