Welcome to the sixth installment in the Video Games Forum's new weekly series of polls!

Centered around the Pokemon series of video games, these polls will be based on the various different aspects of the popular video game franchise. Every Friday, a Video Games staff member will post a new poll that'll remained stickied up on top of the forum. Suggestions for polls and questions can be sent to Life Alert, and they could possibly be used for new polls (credit will be given, of course).

With that out of the way, here is the poll: Is the Battle Tower/Subway too hard? Do you rush through streaks in no time, or do you struggle to face the big boss?

That.... is questionable for me.

While it's hard for me, I'm the 90's player type that has ridiculously high limit before it is actually hard for me. So I'm going with no.

My issues stem from the fact that I never EV train, or use IVs, or breed. >_<

I agree with Baron Dante. I don't think it's too hard, my Pokémon do just fine, I normally only lose due to a silly mistake.

No, it's not too hard. It can be tough, though.
I mostly lose because of Critical Hits or attacks missing at vital moments.

I don't know about the Subway, but the Tower drives me insane. I swear some of the Pokemon in there are hacked.
Then again, I am a terrible battler.

No,it's not very hard. It may be challenging, but I lose there only because of lack of luck in critical moments.

It's difficult if you don't know what you're doing. OTL And even then it can get tough because the game continuously stacks the odds against you so that you WILL lose to a mysterious critical hit, or Brightpowder hax, or something else they feel like doing to you.

It does get hard, because I swear that later on the teams are designed to thrash you, but not too hard. I find it hard, but that's probably because it's not been that hard for me since Yellow. And then I was quite young. So I like it being challenging.

While its true that the odds are against the player, people only complain when they they get haxed and lose after a streak of 30-40 or more batttles where luck was on their side. People in general ignore all the battles that went their way because of hax and rage when one opponent out-haxes them.

I played through it finally and I was a bit underwhelmed. My signature team never had a problem. My Scizor and/or Lucario were never even beaten. I don't even IV or EV train and I got through it alright. *shrugs* I mean, it's fun. But not difficult.

In my opinion, they're pretty hard for most of the casual players. I tried doing it multiple times in order to have the sufficient amount of proof for myself before I said that. I think special preparations are required in these battles, and such task is kinda boring for non-serious players.

I think it`s pretty hard, but I like it that way. Honestly, it really depends on what they match you up against (especially on the Subway, where you always face fully evolved Pokemon on the Super trains). You could very well breeze through 20 matches or so, only to face your team`s worst checks at 21.

I like the difficulty. It's not so easy I get bored, but it's not so hard that I give up. It also gives me a reason to train Pokemon and think of creative new ways to fight.

It's not hard, but it's frustrating. My team is strong, but it's that annoying crital hit at the worst moment or an attack missing or switching at the wrong time or getting move jumped, the list goes on. When I lose, I just start over. BP really piles up like that.

Casual players will have trouble with the Battle Tower or the Battle Subway, but both of the Battle Facilities are quite easy to beat with a team consisting of EV trained Pokémon with decent IVs.

Not really, but I get bored and leave most of the time because I'm too fidgety to bother working through 40-odd battles for a lousy little badge-thingy.

It's a fair challenge, even for those who IV breed and EV train, but mostly because the AI seems to have an ungodly amount of luck. So, in my opinion, most of the toughness is a bit artificial...but then again, I haven't played either that much, so your mileage may vary.

It depends on how you play, I guess. If you know how to play more competitively than in-game, and you have a team that's trained for that purpose, then it's not that bad.

Yes, it is. The opposing trainers always seem to have an insane amount of luck on their side, which result in critical hits or lucky dodge for them. Things like that rarely happen to you, and it's really frustrating to lose when you're on a roll because of a stupid turn of luck. I really hate that place.
