The Pokémon Trainers Cup 2026 was an official National-level tournament in which South Korean players battled in Pokémon Champions to earn invites to the 2026 Pokémon World Championships. The event ran from 24–25 May 2026, and was won by 2x Trainers Cup Finalist Jeongso Lee alongside Mega Charizard Y and Mega Floette.
This tournament used the Regulation Set M-A ruleset, allowing the use of certain Mega Evolutions and restricting teams to the 186 unique Pokémon species currently in the game, of which a list can be found here. You can see the teams from the Top 16 below, and tapping on the teams will show you the Pokémon's moves, ability, held item, and stat alignment. Any team or replica code shown below can be used in Pokémon Champions' online and offline events while Regulation M-A runs from 8 April to 17 June 2026.

Usage Stats
The Top 10 Pokémon from the Pokemon Trainers Cup 2026 is fairly standard for the format, although there are still some points worth mentioning. Notably, Sneasler is entirely absent from the Top 10 despite having recently won the 2026 Malaysia Master Ball League and Victory Road May Challenge #4. Glimmora has been picking up in usage as well, notably without its Mega Evolution, as a Pokémon with great utility with its signature ability Toxic Debris and great coverage with a standard moveset of Power Gem, Sludge Bomb, and Earth Power. It pairs well with Mega Charizard Y, partly due to its Rock-type attacks knocking out other Charizard in one hit. This follows Joji Kaieda placing 1st in Pokémon Champions' Ranked Season M-1 with Mega Charizard Y and Glimmora, alongside Top 8 and Top 16 placements in the Victory Road May Challenge #4.
Mega Charizard Y and Mega Floette are, unsurprisingly, dominating every other Mega Evolution in the game with 42.1% and 38.6% usage respectively, compared to Mega Blastoise, Aerodactyl, Scizor, Skarmory, and Tyranitar in tied 3rd place with only 8.8% usage. Despite wins in recent tournaments, other strong and viable Mega Evolutions such as Mega Froslass and Mega Venusaur are not present in the Top 10. Mega Froslass won the aforementioned 2026 Victory Road May Challenge #4, and Mega Venusaur won the 2026 Thailand Master Ball League alongside Mega Aerodactyl.
