Teambuilding Process
Manectric and Thundurus-T
First of all, I wanted to try this "Discharge Duo", as I like to call it. It is a fast offensive core that is a Mega Manectric and a Life Orb'd Thundurus-T.
Manectric, Thundurus-T, and Landorus-I
I then added a Landorus-I to add more fast power, this time physical, and to work very well with Thundurus-T. If Thundurus-T and Landorus are in at the same time, Lando can freely spam Earthquake, whilst Thundy-T can freely spam Discharge. It also has 2 moves that hit both opponents with fine "EdgeQuake" coverage: Rock Slide and Earthquake. I put a Yache Berry on it to survive threatening Ice moves.
Manectric, Thundurus-T, Landorus-I, and Cresselia
With all this offense, I felt the need of a supporter. And what better supporter in doubles is there than ChestoRest Cresselia? This thing is incredibly bulky, and I made it equally bulky in both defenses to boost it's survivability in both sides of the spectrum.
Manectric, Thundurus-T, Landorus-I, Cresselia, Cinccino, and Heatran
Now, we add the last 2 members, Heatran and Cinccino. You may ask: Why Cinccino?, and I'll tell you now. Think of a STAB base 150 move that hits both opposing pokemon. Yes, that would be Heatran's full HP Eruption. Now think of this force coming from base 115 speed maxed out!. How this works, I will show you in a minute.
Manectric, Thundurus-T, Landorus-T, Cresselia, Cinccino, and Heatran
Changed the Landorus-I to a Landorus-T, because of lacking bulk and intimidate support.

End Team:
Manectric, Thundurus-T, Landorus-T, Cresselia, Cinccino, and Heatran

Team Details
Manectric @ Manectrite
Trait: Lightningrod
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Discharge
- Flamethrower
- Protect
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Introducing Manectric. This pokemon doesn't shine too bright in standard play (Singles), since it just has horrible paper defenses; 70/60/60
Mostly, when used in singles in it's tier (RU) it is equipped with either a Scarf or a pair of Specs. It likes to use the move Volt Switch, to gather your team momentum. Not anymore. In doubles, this Pokemon has much better use of it's ability; Lightningrod, and is probably the best user of it (faster and more powerful than Raichu, with acces to Flamethrower/Overheat). This will not only guard your teammates from opposing electricity, but also abuse your own electricity. Together with Thundy-T, it makes up the powerful "Discharge Duo".
Works Very Well With: Thundurus-T
Works Ok With: Landorus-T, Cresselia
Thundurus-Therian @Life Orb
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Discharge
- Taunt
- Protect
- Hidden Power [Ice]
This, together with Manectric, makes up the "Discharge Duo". This thing is strong. Life Orb'd base 145 SpA with fantastic BoltBeam coverage. Don't mess around with it. It also has access to taunt, preventing Trick Room to be set up, and other things that Taunt may be useful for. In doubles, as we all know, almost nothing is scarfed. That makes base 101 speed really really good. Of course it works well with Manectric, as i mentioned earlier, but it also works very well with Landorus. Free spam of Discharge and EQ is not to be messed around with. I don't think there is much more to say about this one before I explain the "Discharge Duo" concept later.
Works Very Well With: Manectric, Landorus-T
Landorus-Therian @Yache Berry
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Protect
- Explosion
Landorus-T is a monster in doubles. Not only does it provide good bulk (even better with intimidate, but it also hits like a truck. This guy finishes off the offensive core of this team; (Manectric/Thundurus-T/Landorus-T). I made this Landorus-T a physical attacker to 1) abuse the EdgeQuake coverage (which happens to consist of 2 moves that both hit all adjecent pokemon, a great feature in doubles) and 2) to add a physical attacker to the team, as the first 2 pokes where specially orientated. Yache Berry is there to help it's 4x weakness, that also happens to be one of the most used offensive types.
Works Very Well With: Thundurus-T, Cresselia
Works Ok With: Manectric, Heatran
Cresselia @Chesto Berry
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 224 Def / 4 SAtk / 28 SDef
Calm Nature
- Icy Wind
- Psychic
- Rest
- Sunny Day
Cresselia was added because I simply lacked some bulk and support. who else would one use for support and bulk in doubles than Cress? This pokémon is fantastic at providing support for it's teammates in form of Icy Wind for lowering speed and damaging dragons and Sunny Day for negating weather, and boosting Heatran's 2 STAB moves to crazy amounts of power. I am thinking of putting Helping Hand on it, but I am not sure what to replace.
Works Very Well With: Landorus-T, Heatran
Works Ok With: Cinccino
Cinccino @Focus Sash
Trait: Skill Link
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Tail Slap
- Bullet Seed
- After You
- Protect
This thing has a rightful place on this team. With a maxed out base 115 speed, it is rarely outspeed, and with access to the move After You, it can deliver its fantastic speed to one of it's allies. Picture it as a glass cannon, that can support teammates as well. Generally it is used as either just an attacker, or a Heatran supporter, as it works fine for both. Overall, Cinccino is a fantastic contributor to this team
Works Very Well With: Landorus-T, Heatran
Works Ok With: Cresselia
Heatran @Shuca Berry
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Quiet Nature
- Eruption
- Earth Power
- Protect
- Heat Wave
Please welcome our final member of this team: Heatran. But I would claim that the Shuca Berry is better in doubles. With all this hyper offense, and the use of Protect, the balloon is often forced to be broken, and when a Heatran on a balloon is on the field, the only thing to hit it hard with is a fist. Aside from being really, really good, Heatran also works very well with a couple of teammates, most notably Cresselia and Cinccino. Basically, this thing under support absolutely wrecks
Work Very Well With: Cresselia, Cinccino
