This is the team I used in the Christmas Battle Melee tourney. I lost in the second round to Crankyman. See the following Battle Video for my humiliating defeat: 82-75163-25702

Yeah, I realize I don't have any walls, spikers, or tanks but being 4-on-4 Doubles, I didn't see them as necessary.

Gengar-Choice Specs
Timid
6 HP/252 Sp. Atk/252 Speed
Levitate
*Shadow Ball
*Hidden Power (Ice)
*ThunderBolt
*Focus Blast
Standard Special sweeper. Shadow Ball for STAB and it's own weaker form of BoltBeam to provide nice coverage. Focus Blast takes care of any Magnezone that try to stall.

Gyarados (TRUTH)-Leftovers
Adamant
156 HP/104 Atk/100 Def/150 Speed
Intimidate
*Dragon Dance
*Waterfall
*Earthquake
*Ice Fang
Standard BulkyDos. I think it does a much better job than my RageDos. It can usually take hits pretty easily and set up for a sweep with DDance.

Garchomp-Focus Sash
Jolly
255 Atk/255 Speed
Sand Veil
*Earthquake
*Dragon Claw
*Stone Edge
*Swords Dance
Standard Physical sweeper. Focus Sash will usually let me get at least one Swords Dance to set up for a sweep. I choose Dragon Claw because I'd rather not get locked into Outrage or miss with Dragon Rush.

Machamp-Expert Belt
Adamant
255 Atk/255 Speed
No Guard
*Earthquake
*Stone Edge
*DynamicPunch
*Ice Punch
(not-so standard) Physical sweeper. No Guard allows me to use Stone Edge and DynamicPunch without fear of missing. It'll get Super Effective hits the majority of the time.

Now, RMT. GOGOGOGOGOGO!

On Machamp, I'd use Fire Punch over Earthquake. Ground-Fighting gives lousy coverage, and Fire Punch can hurt Scizor, Forretress, and more.

Well, Stone Edge does neutral damage to Scizor and Forretress with the chance of being critical and DynamicPunch would confuse if they survive. I suppose I could give it Fire Punch but I won't be able to hit Electric-types as hard.

I can think of a few things you could fix blaze.

SpecsGengar is good. That's why I think you should have Trick over HP Ice. HP Ice isn't that helpful as it only takes Dragons down. Generally, most Dragons take the same, maybe more, from Shadow Ball.

Garchomp needs Yache Berry. Focus Sash doesn't work if entry hazards are up, so it generally isn't worth it. You should put 6 EV's in HP since 255 gets you the same as 252. Also, Fire Fang should go over Stone Edge.

As for Machamp, the EV's may need to be different. Its speed isn't great, so theres little point in trying to boost it. So, 252 HP and ATK with 6 in DEF. Also, think about using Substitute over Earthquake.

You need Protect on your Pokemon so that you won't get run over by explosions teams. In VGC, choice items are kind of mediocre because there is alot less switching involved. Gengar may be better off running Taunt in order to stop Trick Room, which could run over your team if it was set up properly.

Well, I really don't see how I would fit Protect on any of the Pokémon and Gengar is immune to Explosion. I don't think there was much Trick Room abuse in the tourney but I could've used Taunt to stop that assault of Slee Powder.

Although there may not have been much trick rooming in the tourney, in real VGC it is still popular and even then you can taunt pesky Smeargles trying to put both of your Pokemon to sleep.

And Protect is vital because it can really mess with people's strategies in trying to double target one Pokemon. You could probably drop Dragon Dance and Swords Dance because trying to set that up is really difficult.
