I didn't get the negative reaction of seeing the "old guard" again, though--being there since the beginning, seeing Zubat and Geodude adds a little familiarity to the mix, contrasted with the third-generation Pokemon (which I'm mainly unfamiliar with aside from my limited experience with Ruby) and discovering the new fourth-generation Pokemon.

I haven't had a single successful trade on GTS, but I haven't tried a lot either.

I like D/P, but I did indeed LOL.
 
Bibarrel makes an awesome HM slave.

And my god, I hate Geodude and Zubat. Hate hate hate. They were in every single cave in Generation I, returned in Generation II. In Generation III, most of the old Pokemon weren't in Hoenn. But Geodude and Zubat were! And of course, they're EVERYWHERE in Sinnoh. Not just in caves any more! In grass, everywhere. Little bastards. I never want to see their ugly little faces, ever AGAIN.

Ratatta and Pidgey had the decency to quit after two regions and be replaced by analogues who at least switch things up a bit. Even Tentacool and Tentacruel appear less when surfing.

Geodude and Zubat can't take the fucking hint, though. I want them gone from Generation V. Even if they just replace the little bastards with "Rockyguy" and "Batfruit", at least it'll switch things up, and they might actually be attractive Pokemon.
 
Yeah, Gen Five should make a new bat-pokemon, like a fruitbat.
