That's assuming your MIDI synthesiser is superior to the game's... mine is terrible... but interesting as well - the strings are very spooky, just what I was looking for to perform a composition of mine...

Haha, I love that site. I haven't been there in forever, since I downloaded over 1000 midi's and didn't have the brains to ever sort them. I got halfway done trying to organize it awhile ago.

I have this one from Ocarina of Time that's a duet of Saria's song, that's easily one of the best I've ever heard. Can't find it though. Another good one is a ranch remix of a song from Banjo-Tooie that blends in Enpona's song. http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/n64/bt_atlantis_ranch.mid I'd recommend a lot of the medlies too.

VGMusic.com has some great MIDI music. I happen to have gotten a lot of MIDIs from there during the times I swung by.

As for recommendations... I personally like www.ocremix.org

OCremix.org is another VG music site, but instead of MIDIs, they have bands and people make remakes of classic NES games. It's a good site too.

I love it too, my fav songs there are
Doopliss Battle-Paper Mario 2-Gamecube
Finall Boss True form-Paper Mario 2-Gamecube
Bowser Battle-Paper Mario-Ninendo 64
Golden sun.The Lost Age-boat Battle XG-Game Boy Advance
Golden Sun.The lost age-Boss Battle

Excellent! I've been looking for that site for ages but I had forgotten the name of it.

Used to get all the Street Fighter and Zelda themes (as well as pokemon) with many of the other famous theme's I've endured over the years. Yes baby.

I have an extremely unhealthy obsession with video game music. >_>;; Especially if it's from the Pokemon or Kirby games. *downloading spree ensues*

There's one source in particular for video game music that I particularly like - it's zophar.net. Entire video game soundtracks from Nintendo 64 games are compressed down to one and a half megabytes at the most (for the most part). Some Super NES soundtracks and Game Boy soundtracks are less than one hundred kilobytes. =O However, you'll need to download certain utilities in order to play them.

Of course, once you're able to play them... :D

They do seem slightly less special with more and more full video-game soundtracks becoming available but i've always loved their Pokemon section.

The remixes are definitely the best part of the whole thing. That and the annoyingly few medleys they have.

As for recommendations... I personally like www.ocremix.org

Agreed. OC Remix is awesome. I really like their final fantasy remixes. Anyway...

The site is alright I suppose. Meh, I guess I'm just an OC Remix nerd.

*Waves OC Remix #1 fan flag*

Oh, reverse Ho-oh's Temple's song-silver,gold

It sounds sweet when it is reversed!!
