It's been almost a full year since I last did any competitive battling, but this forum's gotten me interested again. I'm not very creative, so most of my team's EV spreads and moves came from Smogon. The thing I'm worried about is that my team is way to Sweeping-heavy, so I figured I might as well get some feedback. Also, it's for Shoddy, if that helps.

Ambipom (♀) @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/2 Def/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Frustration
- Brick Break
- Payback
- U-turn
---
Mismagius (♀) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 116 HP/2 Def/252 Spd/140 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Will-o-wisp
---
Kingdra (♂) @ Mystic Water
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk/16 Spd/240 SAtk
Lonely nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Rain Dance
- Waterfall
- Dragon Pulse
- Surf
---
Roserade (♂) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP/2 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Leaf Storm
- Sludge Bomb
- Weather Ball
- Hidden Power [Fire]
---
Electivire (♂) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Motor Drive
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Thunderpunch
- Ice Punch
- Cross Chop
- Earthquake
---
Donphan (♂) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP/6 Atk/252 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard
- Stealth Rock
---

The problem is simple, really. Kingdra's a mixed sweeper, Ambipom and Electivire are physical, Roserade and Mismagius special, and then I have a Stealth Rock-using Donphan. I think I'm going to need some more variety, but I'm not sure who I can afford to lose.

Ax Kindra for a wall since its rain dancing for itself alone preferable a special one look on up at
http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-dp/stat/sp-defense.shtml you win bonus points if you don't pick blissey and stay away from shuckle because of its hp problems. Also in general a nice barometer for a special is how well it does against specsmence draco meteor if it can recover off the damage after that you're gtg

I'll ignore the 2 Def EVs, and get right to it. I prefer Double Hit over Return/Frustation because of Technician and STAB. Otherwise, it's a standard moveset.

Ahh, the good old CMagus. I suggest Sub over WoW, because that gives you more survivability and more CMs, which means a monster sweep. You can also take some of those Spd EVs and dump them into SAtk for a hard hit. Around 236 Spd EVs, and you will outspeed Jolly 'Chomp.

16 Spd EVs? That's it? 88 Spd EVs allow you to outspeed ScarfChomp with Rain Dance up. Being able to outspeed one of the most monstrous sweepers is a special trait. But, if you're using the Suspect Ladder on the Smogon server, then that's really not much of a problem, so you can keep those 16 Spd EVs I guess. I prefer Ice Beam over Dragon Pulse, as it hits Salamence/Dragonite harder with 4x damage.

Ahh. My favorite pokemon in the game. I suggest making this guy your lead as he's a great support lead. I see where you're going with Weather Ball which gives you a Water-type move to work with, and HP [Fire] for those pesky Steels.

Hmmm. If you can predict Thunder Waves on any of your sweepers, then this may work. I prefer Thunderbolt (coughSkarmcough) over Tpunch. Otherwise, it's a standard set.

So, a standard Rapid Spinner. Not much to really say here.

Actually, you may not need a wall, since there are also a lot of offensive-only teams out there too. I'd say this team is viable for that particular theme. However, if you're going to pick off someone on your team, I'd say Kingdra, and replace it with Vaporeon/Jirachi. They're both Wish users, and can heal up your sweepers.

I'll ignore the 2 Def EVs

Yeah, that was meant as a joke...those 2 EV points are usually just left off, but I didn't want to feel like I was wasting them...I'm aware they do nothing.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions. I replaced Kingdra with a Wish-using Vaporeon, and made the move changes you suggested, and won my first battle (since I came back, at least).

As an aside, I've never been more glad to have a Rapid Spinner, though...this guy had three different Pokemon with three different types of Spikes. ^_^
