So I recently downloaded HandBrake to rip DVDs with, and I was ready to go into Windows Movie Maker and start making some AMVs when I find out WMM doesn't support MPEG4 files. I've tried at least two freeware video converters since (Apex and Quick Convert) and neither really work. Anyone able to recommend me one that DOES?

(Note that I'm not looking for software that converts TO MPEG4 files, but software that converts to Windows compatible ones-.wmv or .avi)

I've always found Total Video Converter to be a good one. The catch? You only get a 14-day freetrial before you have to pay for it.

Zamzar.com is pretty good for conversions too. It will take your file, convert it, and deliver the converted file to your email. The trouble with it is that because it's done through a website, there is a size limit on the files.

Although none of the programs that I have ever downloaded/used have enabled me to convert the raw Rise of Darkrai that I downloaded throuigh RealPlayer to an iTunes friendly format...

Problem solved. AnyConvert Free works wonders, only the AVI files are busted for some reason.
