So, I noticed a thread like this for movies, and I thought, why not have one for video games as well? This forum IS a video game-related forum, is it not? :P:

However, this will be for games outside of the Pokemon series for obvious reasons. It's to discuss upcoming and newly released video games. Newly announced games and release dates will also be listed here. Members may create separate threads on games when the discussion on them becomes heavy. Otherwise, we'll just end up with a jumbled mess of confusion. Here is the list of guidelines that must be followed:

1. Only video games may be discussed here.
Handheld, home console, PC, anything like that. However, this excludes games for phones and such. They are not true video games, but more so little knickknacks for non-gaming devices. Just like the Netflix channel is a knickknack for the Wii and does not make the console a home theater.

2. Keep the topic only on upcoming and newly released games.
If you want to talk about an older game, make a new thread for it. This also means that only games on the latest consoles can be discussed (like the 3DS and Wii U) since obviously, nobody makes games for the N64 and such anymore.

3. If you are going to talk about game endings, plot twists, or anything like that, PLEASE use spoiler tags.
Some people, such as myself, hate spoilers and are tired of people posting game endings and such out in the open to spoil the game for us. So please use spoiler tags. It's quite easy. Just type your text, highlight it, and then click the button that has a picture of a speech bubble with a question mark in it. Or, you can type the tags yourself using this code:

Code:
[noparse][SPOILER]Your spoilers[/SPOILER][/noparse]

4. Don't bash other people's opinions and views.
I can't emphasize this enough, because I've seen too many people do it to myself and others in the past. Everyone is free to have an opinion on something, so if they want to say the newest Barbie game is amazing, they can. And frankly, there is still one Barbie game I'm fond of myself and wish I could still play (it's too old). Got a problem with that? Keep it to yourself. Simple as that. However, you are free to criticize, just do it politely.

Basically, the rules are just about the same as those of the Movie Releases thread. All other forum rules apply. Now here are a few release dates that I know of.

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (3DS) - Undetermined, should be either sometime over the holidays or Q1 of next year.
Fire Emblem: Awakening (3DS) - Spring of next year, I believe. Exact date is not presently known.
Roller Coaster Tycoon 3D (3DS) - Originally August 28th, but it was delayed...again. It will be out sometime this month of October.
Halo 4 (Xbox 360) - November. I forget the exact date, but it's the beginning of November.

I wish I had the money to get New Super Mario Bros. 2 so I could play and talk about it. xP

Anyone planning on getting Paper Mario - Sticker Star? Its set to be released on November 11th for the 3DS, and features the series returning to its RPG roots.

I'm not. I WAS interested in it until I learned that the turn system was returning. IMO, Mario just doesn't work well as an RPG. I didn't enjoy SMRPG on the SNES, nor did I like Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (never played the first PM). The Mario & Luigi games are okay at best. Super Paper Mario was amazing for actually feeling like a real Mario game instead of implementing an annoying turn system in battles.

So no, I don't plan to get or ever play Sticker Star. I'm looking forward to New Super Mario Bros. U though. And whatever 3D Mario Ninty has planned for the Wii U. The Galaxy games were amazing, so I'm really hoping the next 3D game lives up to that reputation. :D

EDIT: Also, on the topic of RCT3D's release date, all I can find so far is that the game is coming sometime this month. October. So yay, it wasn't delayed much! :D

New releases i'm excited for this year: Dead Island 2, Saints Row 4 and obviously GTA V. Lots of great games coming out!

Mainly I'm looking forward to Animal Crossing- New Leaf. Summer seems so far away.

I can't wait for the Elder Scrolls Online, though it doesn't have an official release date yet. :(

I'm really looking forward to the new Legend of Zelda game, can't wait till it comes out!

So many freaking 3DS games.

Animal Crossing New Leaf
Shin Megami Tensei IV
Mario & Luigi: Dream Team
Fantasy Life
Bravely Default
Rune Factory 4

And I still gotta get Luigi's Mansion and Soul Hackers...

At the moment I'm most looking forward to the release of Animal Crossing: New Leaf, since Animal Crossing was my first ever DS game. I can't say there's anything else grabbing my attention at the moment, though.

I can't wait for Animal Crossing: New Leaf or GTA V. I've had the latter preordered since last November and AC should be a birthday present!

I'm really looking forward to both Ace Attorney 5 and Pokémon XY. I hope they get close release dates (hopefully the 3DS's price drops a bit until them, ahem) so I can get both on the European release dates - though XY's is international, making the whole thing depend on AA5.

AC: New Leaf, as others have said. I've played the series since Gamecube, why stop now?

However, I'm REALLY excited for Pikmin 3. I CANNOT wait until August! I want it now, and those newly revealed Winged Pikmin are adorable!

Just ordered Dead Island Riptide. I believe it's just out although I probably wont get it until early May. I bought a copy with my friend since you can co-op the whole game together :)
