(If this is the wrong place to post this, I apologize.)

Shuko asked what a F.E.A.R. Rattata was earlier today, and when I Googled it, I found a number of different videos. I thought this video, which I found on YouTube, was particularly entertaining.

Man... F.E.A.R. Rattatas are cheap.

Thank you so much for posting a link! I'm at work so I can't view YouTube but I can't WAIT to try it...I'm tempted to have a team of 6 FEAR Rattatas for the Sunny Park tournament depending on how evil they are ^_^

Without yet viewing the video, I can make an educated guess on what a F.E.A.R. Rattata is, it's one with Focus Sash, Endeavor, Agility, and Reversal.

Nice guess, but no dice.

Hooray for C&P

Actually it means:

Fucking
Evil
Attack
Rodent

Or the family version:

Focus Sash
Endeavor
Quick Attack
Rattata

You can also perform this strategy with other Pokemon, not just Rattata.

Here's how it goes:

You send out a Lv.1 Rattata with Endeavor and Quick Attack in its moves, and Focus Sash as its hold item.
Enemy will probably go first, attacking you.
You get knocked down to 1 HP due to Focus Sash.
You Endeavor the same turn, bringin the opponent's HP to 1.
If the opponent's Pokemon has no priority move, no extra Pokemon to switch to, and there are no damaging weather, he's screwed since you'll be using Quick Attack the next turn, which will do at least 1 damage.

It's very situational, but it's fun to use to humiliate noobs.

Wow...I *have* to get a FEAR Rattata now. Where can I find the Focus Sash?
Battle Tower prize or at the house near Pal Park. The old man will cycle through three item, so multiple visits might be needed. Oh, Focus Sash disappears after one time use, so only use it online unless you want to get another one.

You know that dude in that house just west of Pal Park, who asks for a random-level Pokémon every day? He hands out Black Belt (+Fighting), Expert Belt (+Super Effective), and Focus Sash.

Ow. Ghost type with Thief or Knock Off seems like a safe-ish counter.

Or anything with Sandstorm, or if you have Spikes/Stealth rock set up. I don't know how people could fall for such an obvious trick. I believe Tailow can pull this off as well.

Phamphy is the best candidate for FEAR, I believe, but I forgot why.

Same reason why Lucario is the best candidate for End-Rev, SandStorm immunity.

It only took one turn for me to realise how stupid the Uber User was, when his Mew used Earthquake on a Salamence. The Darkrai seems to have broken sleep clause, and seems to have a bad set, Darkvoid/Nightmare/Dream eater. I haven't gotten far enough in the video to see the next move but seriously.

EDIT: I got to the point of F.E.A.R, and man that was entertaining. If my wifi didn't lag so much I'd love to battle idiots and post the videos on Youtube.

Meh, all the people that fights Marriland are noobs. You should see the one when their Gardevior tried Hynosis three times on a paralyzed Pokemon.

Currently watching the one with the Explosion Metagross lead. Kinda nice to see old school DD-mence is still being used. Pretty good against those who would switch to Blissey in a heart beat expecting a Draco Meteor.

FEAR is so dumb. I can't believe how many people try it/lose to it. Anyone with half a brain can easily counter it. And its so predictable, especially when you see it's a RATATTA in your opponent's team.

Basically whenever you see a Level 1 anything that you know can pull off Endeavor + Quick Attac(or another speed priritising move).

It may be stupid, but it's still fun to watch.

Maybe if it were at least evolved into Raticate, you could fool somebody?

Why evolve when there are n00bs stupid enough to fall for it right now?

I find Togekiss's paraflinching capabilities scary, yet cheaper than Ubers vs. NU
