I think Vileplume vs. Bellossom would've been a more fitting question. But oh well.

I like Roserade better. It's design is amazing a it's stats are great.

Anywho, I think that Roserade beats Vileplume in everything but looks. In terms of both battle usage, and the fact it has multiple spikes.

Besides, Bellosom beats them both.

Roserade, in my opinion. I like Vileplume, but design-wise, big petals as the only things separating it from Oddish doesn't save it.

Again, Roserade. Its options are much wider than just scattering powder, flinging leaves, shooting Energy Balls, hurling sludge, and healing with a good smell. Roserade had Spikes and Toxic Spikes, and it has Weather Ball. Sure, Vileplume has Chlorophyll, but Roserade doesn't need the sun that much, anyway. Healing itself upon switching out? Yes, please.

And the stats are obviously superior.

Do I need to repeat myself? Really? Roserade. It has superior Sp. Attack, Sp. Defense, and Speed, so it can use Sleep Powder, and just Sludge Bomb it to death.

~Which would you use?

This is getting old. ROSERADE!

COKE FOREVER! DOWN WITH PEPSI!

COKE! ROSERADE!
 
Vileplume. I just don't like Roserade. It looks like an old woman. And Pepsi.
 
Coke. Isn't this thread supposed to be about pokemon? All I see being debated is a mushroom and my grandmother's weed garden. :\
 
In my battle versus Erika in Red long ago, I had a low level Oddish. The Vileplume actually defeated Charmander and defeated the rest of my team. However, Oddish managed to defeat it with a critical Cut. It evolved and I kept it for my team.

Since then, I always have an Oddish. Either to cut or to inflict statuses on legendaries.

I'd say Coke Bellosoom, but since it's still the same line, Vileplume is it. Plus, it used to look good, a black smiling shadow below a flower. Now not so much.
 
This was really hard for me. Vileplume has the cuter design, but Roserade is cleaerly superior. I went with Roserade though. It's just too awesome to pass up.

Roserade for all 4 questions. It can set up (Toxic) Spikes, or sweep. It also looks smexy.
 
Roserade looks amazing, and she has been on my team almost everytime I've done a run through of Diamond. It is probably the only grass type that I actually enjoy using.

Oh, and when I do choose soda, I go with Pepsi :)
 
Of course I had to choose Roserade. There are many criteria that Roserade has that gets my pick. Cute pre-evolution (since it's cute), great movepool (Spikes and Weather Ball come to mind), awesome design and appearance, and she's even useful thanks to good speed and great Special Attack.

I thought that the comparisons were off for me, because I thought that the better comparisons are Vileplume vs Bellossom (bro and sis) and Roserade and Venusaur (even though Venusaur was compared before).

Vileplume and Bellossom or Vielplume and Victreebel would both have made more sense than Roserade but, eh, whatever.

I don't really think Roserade has a Pokemon that can be considered it's counterpart. Venusaur only has one thing in common with her, it's Poison typing (which is shared by Vileplume and Victreebel). The rest is more similar to fellow Grass Starters.
 
i think the answer to the pepsi or coke is pretty obvious but anyways i do like roserade more than vileplume idk why but i think roserade to me is just better overall
 
Vileplume eventhough it doesn't have the best stats.
Roserade looks like a drag queen with the heaviest make up.
coke or pepsi? either, they taste the same anyway!

Roserade derp. Besides Sleep Powder and Hidden Power, none of it's tricks would work to beat the rose for our rafflesia. That and Roserade can always outspeed Vileplume and hit with a Super Effective move, unless Sun is set up before Vileplume brought to battle.

Vileplume just for shit and giggles. And because it so cute.

But if I had to be serious, Roserade definately.
