Contest Vulpix vs Growlithe

So there's already a thread comparing ninetales and arcanine, so why not complement it with these two as well? Makes sense to me.

If unsure which you prefer, consider:
Which looks better? (Maybe expand with cooler/cuter)
Which is more useful?
Which would win in a fight?
Do you have any fond memories of either of them?
Etc.

And finally, which do you prefer overall?

My vote, obviously, goes to vulpix. Aside from being the pre-evolved form of my avatar, and being damn useful with drought (which I still haven't managed to lay my paws on), vulpix also gets my vote for being the cutest pokemon of all time. Yep, vulpix is an all-time favourite of mine for precisely this reason.
