Does anyone else become frustrated attempting to catch those annoying wandering legendary pokemon?

Yes, granted they add a very challenging element to the games. However I think the game was better off without them, and instead they should have just hid them in some super challenging dungeon or cave, they seems to have no problem making those ;)

Re: Wnadering Legendaries - Yay or Nay?

I liked it when it was just the beasts, because them roaming was part of the legend. I don't mind the eon pokemon much either because they are said to travel in herds.

I'm not gonna complain about the birds in platinum. I'm just glad they were in it.

Mesprit and Cresellia have no business roaming though. you have a special place dedicated to a single pokemon and it runs away.

Re: Wnadering Legendaries - Yay or Nay?

For one thing learn to spell. For a second, some Pokemon it makes sense to have roaming. Entei and Raikou make sense as it adds to their legend and makes them more meaningful when finally caught. Latias and Latios also make sense as the are made out to look like fast flyers who would want to be flying a majority of the time.

Re: Wnadering Legendaries - Yay or Nay?

Mesprit and Cresellia were pointless roamers. The others are OK with me, as they make sense.

Re: Wnadering Legendaries - Yay or Nay?

Yay, but only if they could change the dang Natures each time. I don't like have to search fer one fer an hour, only to find out the nature is terrible.

Yay. I loved the challenge of the roamers in Platinum. Well, until I trained a BatonPass/MeanLook Umbreon and a FalseSwipe Scizor. Then it was just easy.
Overall, I like chasing them.

romaing legendaries are fun but i like really challeging caves and dungeons better like how you caught mewtwo

Nay. I never had a good luck with them. I never ever try to use a Flase Swipe user, and when I finally cornered Cresselia, she ended up fainting.

And I caught Mesprit with Master Ball near Sandgem Town's beach so yeah :p.

A couple in a game is fine...but Platinum's 5 is just ridiculous.

Since I never liked Cresselia and Mesprit in the first place, having them roam just adds to the stupidity. But I love the feeling of the hunt when chasing down the beasts or Lati's. In fact, I just caught Latias in HG today and I still have to catch Suicune in the original Gold.

i like most of them

the beasts where good as in there legend they roamed so it made sence.

the eno duo where good and fun.

but messpirt was pointless(stll dont have one) and cresslia where point less.

but the birds roaming where good.

this

the worst thing for me is i SR until i get a shiny legend but i can't be doing that with roamers as it takes too long :-(

lol. just use the clonning glitch in emerald and get a wobbufet. I have two ds's so I can trade the high level wobby and it has shadow tag. then the roamer has no choice but to stay and fight. How i got my latios. Otherwise, I find it as a bit of a challenge.

This. Extras are ok too (the birds) since they are just... extras

they were fine before HGSS, if i remember right, in other games they would only move if you encounterd them, but in HGSS they would be on the other side of the map before you flew to whatever place they were

You remember very wrong. in every game I've played they move when you go to a different area. I know this was true in DPPT and GSC for sure, my memory of RSE is a little fuzzy, but I'm pretty sure they work the same.

The first thing I learned about tracking roamers is DON'T fly. It only makes finding them harder.

How does Latios/Latias make more sense than Mesprit/Cresselia/Birds? Even Mesprit makes more sense (Mesprit is emotions. It felt like making the whole deal more fun, so it decided to play Hide-and-Seek. Even Rowan explains this). I'll concede Cresselia. Maybe even the Birds (They fly and all), but why do Latios/Latias make more sense than them?

That aside... I don't really mind. I find Roamers to be somewhat annoying, but nothing too bad. I don't even use Master Balls or Mean Look tactics. Only keep on following them around, weaking them little by little, putting them to sleep, and then chuck Quick Balls at them every time you find them afterwards. It's just another Legendary gimmick.

^ Hey I do that too

I don't like roaming legends that much because:
-Their natures/IVs are set when they start running
-They change location each time I do, and I have to keep walking from a town to an adjacent route just to make them appear in that route.
