WANTED - Ditto with 31 IV's in all stats

I don't have the patience to try the following trick, but if you yourself (or someone visiting this thread) has, then go for it. I can't assure it works.

***** PERFECT IV DITTO

If you're even reading this section, you must really want the Hidden Power Dark Ditto or you're really much into breeding. I have to say before the trick that this will only work in Platinum! I myself read this from elsewhere and didn't really understand how it works. I, however, tried it using the following steps and managed to do it succesfully three times. Firstly, you must not talk to the Trophy Garden owner, Mr. Backlot, before doing this trick. [translation note: I suppose this means during that day] If an other Pokémon goes running into the garden, this trick won't work.

In order to try this trick, put a Pokémon with Sweet Scent in your party and go then into the Trophy Garden manor and go to the first room on the right side, and then save your game in front of Mr. Backlot. After this, talk to him, answer yes twice, and he'll tell you the Pokémon that is seen in the garden that day. If that Pokémon is not Ditto, soft reset and try again. He has something about a dozen to twenty different Pokémon to choose from, so you may need to reset your game a lot of times, even hundreds if you have bad luck. When he (finally) mentions Ditto, go to the tall grass in Trophy Garden and save there. Turn the game off and change the DS date to whatever you like, then start the game again. Load your save, skip the Journal by pressing Start and catch a random Pokémon from the tall grass. After that, save and turn your game off. Change your DS clock to a different time again and load your game. Catch any random Pokémon again, use any type of Repel and save your game in the tall grass so that the first Pokémon in your party does not have an ability that affects the Pokémon you meet in wild battles (no Synchronize, Magnet Pull etc.). After this, turn your game off.

Open the RNG Reporter and choose "Seed to Time" and input the value 52140289 to the Seed (Hex) field and 2049 to the Year field (equals to 600 Delays, change to whatever you like) and press "Generate". Choose a date/time combination you like from the list and press "OK" when you've chosen it. Choose "Method 1" from the dropdown list in the RNGR main screen, write 52140289 to the Seed (Hex) field, remove the selection from the Shiny checkbox in the right side of the program and press "Generate". If you look at the list, it should have a Modest spread with all IVs at 31 at Frame 114. Change the method to "DPPt Egg PID (Normal)" and press "Generate" again. The list should now have Frames starting from value 1. Each column has a Coin Flip marked. For me, the first ten flips are THHTTHHHTH [translator note: T=Tails, H=Heads, I assume]. Change the DS time to the right date, load the game, press Start to skip the Journal and save the game in the same spot.

Now, when the date is already set to the correct one, it's time to change the time to the correct one too. In this trick you must load your game at the right time, get the correct Delay and advance Frames. You load your game, Soft Reset at the right position, load your save at the right time and at the Target Time. When the game has been loaded, Journal will not open automatically. Flip the coin ten times, and if the Heads and Tails are the same as what RNGR shows, you have the right Delay (and most probably the correct save loading time as well). After this, walk a step in the tall grass to the direction you're already facing and open your Bag, then open your Journal. It should at first show an almost empty page. Go right once and it should show a diary entry with a caught Pokémon. Go right once again to see a similar page. From this point forward, press left and right so that you're opening these two pages one after another. Open both pages 22 times, so you open a page 44 times in total. Then press Start to get out of Journal. Go to your party and use Sweet Scent known by a Pokémon of yours. You should then encounter a Modest Ditto with all IVs at 31. Catch it and do what you want with it.

Take note! Even if the Spread you want is 114, it won't be calculated the normal way, and it will be calculated in a way I don't understand. If it went the normal way, Journal would use 88 Frames, leaving us with 26 Frames left. Walking a step would use one, so there'd be 25 left. Coin Flips could maybe use ten, so there'd be 15 Frames left. A Sweet Scented Pokémon from the tall grass takes 7 Frames, so I don't know where those 8 or 18 Frames go to. Most probably Sweet Scent fulfills the requirements for meeting the Ditto, the aforementioned Spread is in that exact Poké Slot the Ditto takes (a.k.a. "Ditto will be released first"). In addition to that, there was an odd way to see what Pokémon you will meet. When you got Ditto from it, the program searched the next IV values even when the Frame wasn't correct. If someone knows how this really works, you can tell me. :>

I found this trick from the Finnish Pokémon forum (http://forum.pokemon.fi/viewtopic.php?id=16794) and translated it myself. BTW, I have an English exam tomorrow, if you see any grammar errors, please VM or PM them to me.

I honestly don't know what the hell RNG abuse is and how the hell it works, and it sounds too difficult for me to look into.

A Ditto created by PokéSav is fine with me. It's not like I intend to use it for anything else than breeding.

RNG (Random Number Generator) abuse is the idea that one can manipulate the inputs of the game's random number generator in such a way as to return a specific, desired outcome that would normally be random. Everything in Pokemon, from catching to effects, to breeding IVs and wild encounter rates, is determined by a Random Number Generator (sometimes called a PRNG, or Pseudo-Random Number Generator because of the fact that you can actually predict it with the right calculations and is therefore not TRULY random).

In short, you're messing with the way the game works in order to have it produce a legitimate, perfect Ditto. It's something I'm trying to make use of to breed a team, but I'm still having trouble applying the concept in practice.

Well I have an AR, but I don't really see anything that I want off of your page. Besides, I don't like to use it too much, only in very, very limited circumstances. I like 'em legit.

Hey, if you still don't have that Ditto, I have one to offer! It's also Shiny, for kicks (Plus I love Blueberry Jello).

I'll trade it for anything. Seriously, I'd give one for a Magikarp. Or anything.

Though, If you have a non-hacked JAPANESE Lv.1 Shiny Magikarp with Bounce and 31-all-IV's and Self-conscious ability, named コイキング, I'd be much abliged!
(Can Magikarp still get Bounce in B/W? I can't remember if it's breedable... Otherwise, drop Self-conscious)
^_^ Yeah, I want the Ultimate Magikarp!

If you are still wanting it, just e-mail me. (I don't check for PM's)
