I just got my Platinum game to pair with my Diamond. I expected to see something come up on the WiFi Mystery Gift for me but nothing is coming so far.

I'm from the US and am an honest guy. I just want to experience something legendary from the mystery gift (like oak's letter for example). I would love a shaymin if someone could send me a gift pertaining to that. I'm playing the Platinum Game fresh without using any rare items, so I can get most anything. I think I got a couple Lucky Eggs on my diamond. No hacks please (If i wanted hacks I would buy AR and insta-win the game). Please PM or Post here if you can help me.

After someone gives/trades me something I will edit this post to say so.
 
You can't obtain mystery gifts unless you participated in an event, or logged on to WiFi in the appropriate window. (i.e. Arceus in November). You may still use AR to artificially induce a mystery gift and collect a legit pokemon, or trade for one of the mystery gift pokemon.
 
I thought you could get a Legendary Item then send it to 5 other people or something. Isn't that right?
 
some mystery gifts can be shared only if 1. One person was at the event. 2. Person with the gift who wants to send it is close to the people recieving.

Most gifts cannot even be shared.

Yeah, but not the events you're looking for. So far, if I'm not mistaken, the only event you could share with a friend is the Secret Room Rotom event. And even then, only in the Japanese version. Even more, you can only share event Wonder Cards with a friend in face-to-face wireless comm, and not via Wi-Fi.

...Maybe you can catch the next event, or the Heart Gold/Soul Silver events when the games are released outside of Japan.
