Thanks to the influence of famous Pokemon trainers who double as musicians, such as Roxie Rotten of Virbank, Unova, famous faces from all over the Pokeverse have begun to pick up instruments, join forces, and participate in Band Battles. Every genre has been covered and covered well by at least one band out there, and the wide talent pool has helped this new form of competition become almost as popular as Pokemon Contests and Nimbasa's Pokemon Musical (commonly viewed as a precursor). It isn't uncommon for band members who are also powerful trainers to use their Pokemon for dazzling stage effects, with Fire- and Electric-types being among the most popular for this niche. Recently, there has been a sharp incline of bands forming. It has even been shown on rare occasions that music may have magical powers... if they do, whether bands use them for good, evil, or something in between is the question...

RULES:

-The obvious one is that there's no god-modding. If you're going to challenge another band to a Battle, PM them and figure out the result beforehand. However, that's not to say Battles can't be interfered with by third parties... but for the love of Rayquaza, do it with consent.
-Bands can specialize in any amount of genres, or just any genre.
-Little to no limits on violence (just nothing too over-the-top), and no limits on language. Music is a form of expression, eh?
-Don't have explicit sex scenes, but other than that, you can have characters act... er, close to each other. No limits on sex in lyrics, either.
-Bands can have up to five members, though I'd recommend keeping them to four or less.
-PM me personally if you would like to form a band that becomes the main villains.

Alright, now allow me to form my band...

Name: Jimmy Sergei Lecavalier (Nickname: Jimmy Lethal)
Age: 22
Band: Combat Jazz
Genre: All, though most commonly alternative, punk, and grunge.
Instrument: Lead vocals; rhythm guitar.
Appearance: White; 6'0"; black hair dyed purple, cut short on the sides and spiky on top and back; green eyes with purple contacts; heavily tattooed on arms; black nail polish.
Main Outfit: Grey T-shirt with sleeves cut off; black denim vest with multiple patches; black jeans, baggy with a rip on the left knee; black high-top sneakers with grey laces; studded wristbands.
Personality: Generally content and cheerful; anxious and nervous at times due to his anxiety disorder; has a bit of a Napoleon complex due to being the lead singer.
Hometown: Driftveil, Unova
Background (optional): Jimmy was born to a Unovian father and Johtonese mother. His mother moved to Lilycove, Hoenn when Jimmy was five, wanting to start a new life; she's still technically married to his father, though they haven't seen each other in years (Jimmy constantly traveled between the two regions). Jimmy took up three things: Pokemon training, skateboarding, and playing guitar. With time, he became skilled in all three disciplines, showcased by the fact that he has won three Pokemon League tournaments (two in his native Unova and one in Kanto), six gold medals at the annual X-Treme Games, and... oh yeah, he formed a band with three of his friends from Hoenn. Together, they aim to be the undisputed greatest Band Battlers in the Pokeverse.
Primary Pokemon Team (optional): Gengar, Slaking, Porygon-Z, Shiny Jolteon, Swampert, Altaria (Has a pet Murkrow, Gastly, and Haunter at home.)
Favorite Genre (optional): Punk
Other: In a relationship with Flannery. His Gengar rarely enters his Poke Ball.

Name: Flannery Margaret Moore
Age: 22
Band: Combat Jazz
Genre: All, though most commonly alternative, punk, and grunge.
Instrument: Lead guitar, backing vocals.
Appearance: White; 5'11"; red hair done up in a quad-ponytail; red eyes; flame tattoos on her wrists and ankles and a sun tattoo around her navel; red-orange nail polish.
Main Outfit: Red tube top with orange flame design on front; sleeveless black leather vest; baggy blue jeans with a flame design at the bottoms of the legs; black and red skate shoes.
Personality: Usually very upbeat; occasionally becomes overwhelmed with her responsibilities as both a Gym Leader and lead guitarist, making her hasty and generally confused as to what she wants to do.
Hometown: Lavaridge, Hoenn
Primary Pokemon Team (optional): Torkoal, Magcargo, Camerupt, Ninetales, Houndoom, Charizard (Has a pet Slugma and Shiny Flareon at home.)
Background (optional): Flannery spent most of her early life helping her grandfather Blaine around the Lavaridge Gym. When he was called up to the Hoenn Elite Four (and later retired as a Gym Leader in Cinnabar, Kanto), the responsibility of Gym Leader fell onto her. Early on, she wasn't too sure as to what to do, and became the only Gym Leader in Hoenn to amass a losing record in the year she became one. Eventually, a punk from Unova named Jimmy came to challenge her, and after another heartbreaking defeat, he decided to bring her with him around the rest of Hoenn to help her train. Flannery asked the top trainer in her Gym to cover for her, and off they went. Through a number of events which included helping the other Gym Leaders calm Groudon and Kyogre and stop the Aqua and Magma Organizations, the two grew closer and eventually became an item - and so did her Ninetales and Jimmy's Jolteon. Recently, the two have formed a band along with their friends Winona and Wallace, with Flannery taking up the guitar.
Favorite Genre (optional): Speed Metal
Other: In a relationship with Jimmy. Embarrassed by her middle name. Her Torkoal rarely enters his Poke Ball.

Name: Winona Skylar Byrd
Age: 23
Band: Combat Jazz
Genre: All, though most commonly alternative, punk, and grunge.
Instrument: Bass guitar, backing vocals, keyboards and samples (in studio only).
Appearance: White; 5'7", lavender hair with two wing-like bangs and in a long ponytail in the back; lavender eyes; wing tattoos on her back; sky-blue nail polish.
Main Outfit: Dark blue Fortree Altarias hockey sweater with light blue and white accents; white jeans; dark blue running shoes with light blue laces and accents. (On stage and when free running, she takes off the hockey sweater, revealing a light blue bikini top with dark blue accents. When free running, she uses duct tape to tape down her jeans, becoming more aerodynamic.)
Personality: Generally graceful, brave, and very much a leader type, going so far as to be Combat Jazz's manager as well as the bassist. Has a tendency to be unnecessarily deep and soulful when the situation doesn't call for it. Easily embarrassed when forced to discuss her love life... except with Wallace, of course.
Hometown: Fortree, Hoenn
Primary Pokemon Team (optional): Altaria, Skarmory, Tropius, Pelipper, Shiny Swellow, Noctowl (Also commonly uses a Mantine, and by extension, she owns multiple Remoraids. Has a pet Swablu at home.)
Background (optional): Winona has four main loves in life: Flying-type Pokemon, free running, Wallace, and playing bass guitar. At a young age, she began using her Swablu, Wingull, and Hoothoot to help her gracefully traverse Fortree on her own two feet. As her Pokemon evolved and more were caught, one faithful day, she had a chance encounter with none other than Lugia. This inspired her to become a Flying Ace. And that she did, eventually becoming the head of the Hoenn Gym Leaders and a damn good free runner, to boot. As her interactions with the other Leaders increased, she began going out with Wallace. Once he reclaimed his title of Champion of Hoenn, Winona began to worry she was inferior to him and the relationship wouldn't work out. She got over this belief when she defeated Wallace in a battle, mostly thanks to her Tropius. Eventually, she found a love for playing bass guitar, eventually forming Combat Jazz. She aims to show the world the full extent of what the bass can really do.
Favorite Genre (optional): Funk Rock
Other: In a relationship with Wallace.

Name: Wallace Jacques Clearwater
Age: 24
Band: Combat Jazz
Genre: All, though most commonly alternative, punk, and grunge.
Instrument: Drums, percussion, backing vocals.
Appearance: White; 5'10"; medium-length styled turquoise hair; turquoise eyes; turquoise nail polish.
Main Outfit: Teal/white long-sleeved button-down shirt; purple jeans with a black belt; white high-top sneakers with teal laces; white baseball cap, usually worn backwards, with a Sootopolis Wailords interlocking "SW" in teal on the front; occasionally wears a white cloak known as the Champion's Cloak.
Personality: Elegant, formal, and graceful. Cares a lot about the other band members, especially Winona. Commonly becomes irritated with people he doesn't know, leading to him being labeled by some as a stuck-up celebrity.
Hometown: Sootopolis, Hoenn
Primary Pokemon Team (optional): Milotic, Wailord, Tentacruel, Ludicolo, Whiscash, Gyarados (Has a pet Luvdisc, Sealeo, and Seaking at home.)
Background (optional): Wallace, being born in Sootopolis, didn't know much about the outside world for a while aside from occasional vacations. That all changed when he started his journey, as he explored the far reaches of Hoenn and beyond, participating in both battles and contests. He eventually mastered both, working his way up to Champion of Hoenn and, along with his contest prowess, he's commonly considered to be one of the greatest trainers in the entire world. He ended up in a relationship with Winona, which was rough at first but eventually became much smoother. He has recently taken up the drums in Combat Jazz, and like most other things he does... he's damn good at it.
Favorite Genre (optional): Progressive Rock/Metal
Other: In a relationship with Winona.

Aww, nobody's interested? I thought this was a pretty cool concept.

Should I just kick things off and let people sign up throughout the story? I don't feel comfortable starting yet.
