I know we already have a discussion thread for this, but we need a poll. Title says it all.

I'm like "damn." He couldn't even give a good speech when it was him performing them.

lol@poll options.

I know what you are hinting at, but like bush I'm sticking with my guns and voting no!

Hah, "you betcha". That kind of thing will never cease to make me laugh.

That said, I picked "hell no".

Bush was clearly a bad president. I just watched the Katrina episode of "When Weather Changed History". He actually played favorites with a disaster killing people.

If one good thing came out of the Bush Administration, it was the failure of Reagan style conservatism was made so obvious almost no one can deny it.

Whos Bush?

...

Lol ;-) I think he did a reasonable job. What are you supposed to do when you have so much power? It can go to your head sometimes.

The president blew whatever residual goodwill he had from September 11th right out the window when he badly mishandled Hurricane Katrina's devastation of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast.

For shits and giggles, I was actually going to vote "You betcha". Honestly, I couldn't tell who would be worse, Dubya or Palin.

Everything about Reagan now is, to the eyes of the Republicans, their idol.

You know what people might say in defense of Bush? "He kept us all safe" after 9/11. *shrugs* I dunno. I don't feel safe at all. And it's been seven years, and I don't see significant improvement.

I think he did a good job on somethings and did bad on somethings. Nobody is perfect. He seems to be a nice guy. He was popular at first and he's being hated. I agree with TTEchidna, he's flaws made him look bad.

I believe that one of the biggest mistakes Bush made was he surrounded himself with idiots like Cheey and Rove, among others.

He left a LOT to be desired with Hurricane Katrina, the whole unecessary war with Iraq, not catching Bin Laden, his diplomacy, his economics(that stimulus check could have been a bit bigger so people could be more apt to get the economy back in shape).

He did guide us a bit skillfully through 9/11 which is a good thing.

I will not blame him for the initial actions resulting from 9/11. That would be tough for any president, regardless of who it was. I will wholeheartedly agree with attacking Afghanistan. I may also agree with Homeland Security, to a certain degree. Everything beyond that is a heap of junk that is best to just wash away in the annals of history. I would say forget it, but no, I think we need to remember just how much the Bush White House wanted to play police with the entire world and nanny to the country itself. It has left us with the worst economy supposedly since the crash of the '80s. I have not lived long, but I have never seen a president be more the butt of everyone's joke. Looking at this, I can tell that this will be a story best told how it really happened. I care not how it will be recorded in the history books. It needs to be said without the filter of propaganda. There is good to be had, don't get me wrong. But it was all good wrought by the kick in the can that this country sorely needed.

I believe it was Oprah who said something along the lines of "I want my president to be smarter than me.", and she's right.

I think he made some tough decisions, and most people would have done the same in his shoes. Im not totally for him, and he's said some really stupid stuff, but really, he's not that bad. Same with Palin, people would not shut up about her. Obama? whats he got? youth? Im not gonna argue politics, but Im not looking forward to very much.

Palin has what Obama has, except where he reads newspapers, she can see Russia.

As for Bush? I didn't like it when he got elected, but I got over that. I NEVER felt like he did ANYTHING good during or after 9/11, and my opinion's just gone downhill from there, with a few minor exceptions. What can I say? I'm Mr. Negative.
