Do you know of a website where I can watch pokemon episodes, besides YouTube or Google Videos? The used to be one called Pokemon Media Central, but it was taken down.

However, I've heard that the first season episodes do not work (for some reason). And unfortunately, they do not have season 5, Master Quest (which is a shame, because that's a great season!!).

Yah, I've noticed that page before... sadly when I checked them, the majority of the videos weren't hosted anymore ...x_x
 
From there, I've only watched one episode so far, "Current Events".

And since that episode worked, I'm assuming that most of Johto League Champions should work fine at least....
 
None of them worked for me. Also, the Kanto part of Season 2, which would be the Princess vs. Princess dub and everything beyond (you can tell because the theme song's footage is shortened - this held true for the Orange segment of Season 3, but NOT the Master Quest segment of Season 6), seems to try and load, but Pokémon, I Choose You! wasn't even found.

You should try downloading DVD rips or something from #PM.
 
No, each american season is 52 episodes, ignoring intro theme and plot. Season 2 starts with Princess VS Princess, Season 3 with Pokemon Water War, Season 4 with A Goldenrod Opportunity, Season 5 with Around the Whirlpool, Season 6 with Address Unown, Season 7 with What You Seed is What You Get, Season 8 with Clamperl of Wisdom, Season 9 with Fear Factor Phony and Season 10 with Different Strokes for Different Blokes.
 
My mistake. I really need to stop confusing myself with the English/Japanese season lengths.

... Okay, as much as I hate being a TOTAL noob... How do you do this? xD I would assume it has to do with irc chat, but I'm clarifying.

That's exactly why I don't go by that system.

The Japanese one may be the correct or proper one to use, but all it does is confuse me (for example, "Address Unown" and the episodes afterward are technically season 6 episodes - yet they are still Master Quest episodes cause they still have the same opening as the episodes before that - yeah, that's one thing I'll never understand ^^o).


So instead, I go by the dub's easy-to-understand system where a new season of Pokemon is started by a new opening. I just think it's a lot easier to figure out where seasons start and end by doing it that way.
 
Lisa, you're confused. Japan's season changes when the opening changes (ususally), while the US season changes every 52 episodes.

That's the reason why I don't go by the Japanese seasons. It's easier for me to tell one season from the other by using where the openings are in the dub.
 
But...Japanese don't even have seasons...they just change their intros...Japanese shows go year-round, they only get new series, like AG and DP.

Here's a way you can tell if it is Season 2 Kanto arc: Pikachu's Jukebox. They played Pikachu's Jukebox ion Season 2, and to avoid spoilers, the Orange part of Season 3.

The other way, is, as I said, the shortened intro. The last 1/3 of Kanto had a shorter opening theme if I remember correctly, adn so did the last part of Orange, when a new season was introduced.

The reason for this is because Kids' WB didn't want to squeeze 80+ episodes into a whole year, and 4Kids didn't want to rush the dubs. If they had changed the intro every season, it would cause spoilers...I wouldn't like seeing Ash and his Treecko battling at the end of the Johto saga...

Lisa and Rachel...from now on, instead of saying season, can't you just go by Series 1 or Series 2 or beyond depending on which song they use? the song kinda represents the series, not the season anyway...

The whole IRC business is a little intimidating at first glance, but really there are just a few important commands you need to remember. Just examine this tutorial carefully; http://www.pocketmonsters.net/tutorial.html , (Mainly the part on how to get files from FSERVES.) and you will be good to go.

Well, I finally figured out what I did wrong, but as I mentioned a few posts earlier, I accidently got my address banned from the pocketmonsters irc by flooding the chat (don't ask how...), so I'm pretty sure I've wasted my oppurtunity.

... Unless those things are temporary, perhaps, but I doubt it. I'll probably end up just getting by on the few episodes (or parts of episodes) on youtube and such and wait until I have enough money to go out and search for seasons on boxset (after getting a DS, of course).
 
They're only temporary. If you were banned by a bot, you could still ask an operator to unban you if you have a good reason.

Oh... Well, I'll have to try again soon, then. xD I'm not sure which I was banned by (probably a bot), but in any case I suppose I'll just go back there and attempt to get SOMETHING.
