Yes, as the title says, I am new here. I actually joined a few days ago, but I can't post on a message board until I have proper graphics. |D I was making a signature banner to match my icon but it hasn't been cooperating, so you get lyrics instead.

I'm 23 and I live in Texas; I picked Pokémon up back on Christmas of '98 and I haven't put it down since. I've only recently started to think about having actual battles with real people, and when I discovered a few days ago that my DS will(finally) sync with our wireless I decided it was time to start building up a good team. I'm still a long way off, but I'm getting there; in addition to using Bulbapedia as my Pokémon bible, from what I've seen on this board you guys are a very welcoming, casual place to get my feet wet in the world of p2p Pokémon battles.

I'm something of a lurker so I'll never have a post count to rival some of the older members, but I hope I can contribute something valuable to the forums. :)

I'll have a sigbanner for myself eventually; I just lost patience messing with it for hours, so I'll probably have to completely change what I want it to look like. Here is the full-size version of my icon, though, if you're curious.
